Double Date: Maid Cafe

"A double date?"
Kobayashi repeats in question.
She glances over to Takiya, typing beside her.

"It's not that bad of an idea don'tcha think?"

Takiya explains as he codes. "There's this unique maid cafe I really enjoyed and I think it'd be great if you and Tohru came along with Fafnir and I."

A certain cafe comes to mind. Kobayashi squints.
"They don't happen to do
satanic rituals for their omelets, do they?"

"They do, actually."
Takiya answers, surprised. He looks over.
"You know this place?"

"Yeah, Tohru worked there for a bit."
Kobayashi answers reluctantly, looking back at her computer.

"Really?!" Takiya exclaims, intrigued.

"Yeah, she sorta got them to do these weird rituals before every omelet is served. Unless they're doing it for every meal now." Kobayashi explains.

"So... that's .....a real curse they're saying?"
Takiya asks.

Kobayashi sighs.
"Probably."

Takiya chuckles. "Wow! No wonder Fafnir enjoyed that place. Never seen him eager to go someplace with me."

Kobayashi's brows furrow.
"He doesn't just ...go there on his own?"

Takiya pauses, his hands hovering over the keyboard. He looks up at the office ceiling panels in thought.

"I ...don't think so?" Takiya hesitantly answers.
"Fafnir usually takes walks and goes to stores on his own but... y'know."

"Yeah: otherwise, a complete shut-in."
Kobayashi concludes. She dryly snickers.

"Sure then, how about it? I'll join you guys this weekend. A double date doesn't sound terrible."

"Good morning Fafnir-san!"
Tohru says, ecstatically waving 'hello' with one arm as the other was hooked around Kobayashi's arm.

"Tohru." Fafnir greets he walks beside Takiya.

The four meet in front of the cafe doors and proceed inside together.

Almost immediately, every maid recognized Tohru.

They were quick to greet and huddle around with bombarding questions, forms of affection, and gracious amounts of gratitude.

"Huh, Tohru really did work here."
Takiya mutters.

"Told you." Kobayashi retorts.
"She's like a cult leader."

"I'm impressed." Takiya returns.

"All because she shared one curse?"
Fafnir mumbles absent-mindedly.

The three collectively sigh in amusement of the fiery dragon maid. Tohru seemed nervously overwhelmed by the maid-wearing women around her.

They make their way past seated booths to the last booth empty for the taking. Though they knew as they got seated that it would take a bit before they can get a menu with all the maids preoccupied.

"Ahaha, sorry about that!"
Tohru apologetically says as she itched her head. She slides into the booth beside Kobayashi.
"I guess they really missed me."
