I don't remember when I fell asleep, but the screams of terror startle me awake. Bouncing up in bed, my chest heaves as I look around the darkness.

Realizing I can't see, I clutch my head. I'm still in Medusa's cave, noting the coolness of the air on my skin. I lift myself from the bed, placing my hand on the rocky wall.

I take small steps, using my hand on the wall to guide me forward. I follow the screams towards the entrance of the cave, the air turning warmer and warmer. I can hear fire crackling and the smell of smoke fills my nostrils.

Is there a forest fire? Who's screaming?

"Look! He's over ther-" a voice yells, but is quickly turned into a guttural choking sound. Then silence.

"Don't look into the monster's eyes!" Another voice yells.

"You will not leave here alive!" Medusa screams.

The sounds of the fire roaring and the clashing of swords on shields echo through the area.

I take a step back, unsure of the situation and what to do.

A hand lands on my shoulder and I shriek, startled.
