'Many times I have found myself recounting the days I spent as an acolyte, they were simpler, lighter times. I do dearly miss those days, such an abundance of hope there was. Every day was a chance to commune with the Father, to carry out his teachings and follow the faith. Only when I look back on certain events do I find myself regretting the actions I took, giving birth to doubt.

'How am I to lead others, if I doubt as well?'

'I suppose this all started when I met him... a man bearing a burden much greater than my own. I didn't know his name at the time, not that I would have recognised it for what it truly was, I believed him to be just like me, a simple acolyte.'

'How wrong time has proven me to be."
