I really do not like surprises. Nathans 'surprise' consisted of a tour around the house and a hike up the mountain 20 minutes walk from the house. At one point he literally had to drag me up.

Now I'm lying on my bed happily petting Shadow when One Directions new song came on my Ipod. Oh god, fangirl time. I started singing as loud as I could and danced around my room.

I turned around and nearly screamed. Alex,Steven and Rick were standing at my door which is wide open looking shocked.

Rick was the first to recover " Miley! We had no idea you could sing like that! "

"Yeah Miley! You rocked!" Alex said after a second

" Ehh yeah, I don't usually sing infront of anyone besides my family " I said shyly.

" Well your part of this family now so please sing as much as you want " Steven smiled at me. Alex and Rick agreed.

"Thanks guys, did yous want something? " I smiledd genuinely at all of them.

" Yeah! We have an awesome surprise for you!" Alex grinned and jumped up and down.

They dragged me downstairs and into a room to the left of the dining room. Inside was a game room. I was confused Alice and Nathan were there grinning like little kids in a candy store.

" I don't get it, what's the surprise?" I noticed Alice and Nathan were standing infront of something blocking it from my view.

They moved out of the way and there was a box. I was extremely confused.

" Well dont just stand there! Open it! " Rick pushed me forward gently towards the box.

I opened the box and inside were pictures of my family. I thought every picture was gone. See the night my family died I stayed in my best friend Kates house. While I was gone a fire destroyed everything I cared about. Everything. Gone. At that moment I couldn't take it anymore, I bursted into tears. In seconds Rick pulled me into a hug and tried to sooth me. It just made me cry harder. After I don't know how long I finally stopped crying.

" I'm so sorry sweetheart " he looked like it pained him to see me cry.

" It's alright, it's just I thought all the pictures burned in the fire and I just couldn't take it anymore seeing them " If I'm honest I'm angry at my parents. They left me all alone they died because they didn't replace the battery in the smoke alarm.

" I know, maybe you should go get some rest you've had a long day " I nodded and Rick walked me to my room and said goodnight

I got changed and called Shadow and went to sleep listening to Eminem.

Little did I know in the next few weeks my life would be flipped upside down. Again.
