Choosing Ceremony

Erics P.O.V

I wake up to a poke on my cheek, I immediately grab the hand thats poking me and twist it a little bit out of reflex.

"OUCH, Eric stoppppp" my little 12 year old sister Mary-Anne groans

"Then don't poke me" I smirk, letting go of her hand

"Well dad said you have to get up because of the choosing ceremony today"

"Oh right..."

"Eric... what faction are you picking?" she says as she looks at me curiously

"I have no fucking idea" I say quietly

"LANGUAGE!" Mary- Anne shrieks as she covers her ears while running out of the room. I snicker as she runs out.

'I guess I have to get ready then... hopefully that girl Wolf is at the Ceremony, to be honest I liked her company even though it could be intense, and those eyes. I had to see them again, geez I'm such a girl' I think to myself as I slip on my clothing. Blue button down, blue dress pants, and black dress shoes and my mothers necklace she gave me for my birthday before she divorced my dad, then disappearing into thin air.

After getting ready for the Ceremony I head downstairs to the kitchen to get some toast.

"Here I already made it for you" my dad said while handing a plate with two pieces of toast on it.

"Thanks..." I reply as I sit down on one of the stools

"So son..." my dad starts off

'Here we go...' I think

"What time are you getting back from the Ceremony?" I stiffen

"What are you talking about?" I say with a glare

"Your choosing Erudite again... aren't you? Thats what mom would want" he says

"DO NOT talk about mom! You made her leave" I yell

"I did not make her leave, she chose that herself. And do not speak to me that way young man!" my dad says while staring at me with a look that could kill. I quickly get up off of my chair and go to Mary-Annes' room.

"I have to go" I say looking at her while she's combing her silky blonde hair

"So soon! Why were you and dad screaming at each other, you promised you wouldn't do that anymore" she said quietly with tears in her eyes, I hug her tightly and say

"Things happen for a reason, I love you no matter what" I say kissing the top of her head and leaving the room without looking back. I stormed out of the house not glancing once at my dad.

I knew exactly what I was picking, and I was happy with my choice even though I was divergent.

Wolfs P.O.V

"WAKEY WAKEY WOLF!" both Mai and Jake my best friends yell as they dump ice over my head. I quickly swipe my legs across the bed and jump up with a knife in my hand that was under my pillow.

"WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK" I yell while taking ice off of my head, I look to see Jake and Mai laughing their asses off on the floor

"HAHA DID YOU SEE- HAHA" Mai and Jake both say in unison as they are hysterically laughing

"Get out" I growl in my leader voice, both of them stop laughing and run out of the room still laughing, I smirk to myself

'What a great way to start off the day...' I think to myself as I pick out the ice cubes out of my bed. I dump them in the shower and melt them with the hot water, I jump in the shower and then I start getting ready for the long day today.
