Hello, Goodbye..

Arc I: Chapter III

Filled with gratitude.

I don't know how, but I somehow managed to stand up without falling over or coughing up blood!!!

I felt so accomplished...
Until I tried to walk..

Crash
...

"Ow.." I muttered.
I still have a long way to go...

I think a month passed?
No clue how I'm still alive..
But I'll see the outside.. At least once.

The birds seemed to understand me and they helped me escape the palace, by telling me when to go and when not to go.

They.. Guided me.
Though I could barely walk... Progress!

It felt like.. Some unknown force was helping me.
Guiding me... Since It's nearly impossible to escape the palace.. Much less in my situation-

After somehow escaping the palace..?

I saw a small hut or is that a small cottage??
A small shed?? Some building in the distance surrounded by trees??

*Cough*

As I got closer I soon identified what it was.

To be exact, it was a small hut in the middle of a forest.
It looked.. Save. Serene and.. Tranquil.

Peaceful.

'I don't know why the birdies brought me here but.. I trust them.'

I barely made it to the front door, before collapsing.

Everything going black..

Nothingness.

'Am I.. dead?'
Of course that was my first question.. I mean, can you blame me?

It felt like ages.. But I felt warm..
Plus.. I heard someone. Talking.

To me.

Reassuring me.. Making me feel.. Safe.

"It'll be okay.." For some reason..
He sounded.. distant- cold, yet.. Worried? Concerned?
About me???

"I'm here!" He said...
Making me feel warm.
Why? Who?
I desperately wanted to know.

"You know what happened today?" Telling me what happened every day..
Even though I blacked out quite often..

"I caught a rabbit! My skills must be improving!"
Bragging? Heh~

"...When will you wake up..?"
... I don't know.

"You're my only friend... so, you better like today's menu! And quickly wake up!!"
I like everything you make me eat.. Even though it's always the sam-

Time.. Seemed to pass without my notice. I had no clue how much time passed.

Until suddenly.. I felt my eyes.. My body.. Though.. It was heavy. So very heavy.. I still forced myself.

I forced my eyes open.. And the first sound that greeted me after, was a loud crash, from somewhere around me.
I tried to look around, but unsurprisingly couldn't find anyone, since I couldn't move.

Suddenly, I heard a deep voice.. The one I always heard.
Since I thought I was dead.

"Y-you're awake?" It sounded.. shaky? I tried to look at him..
But failed once more.

Then I heard someone walking towards me and then- Oh lord.. Am I in heaven? WHY'S HE SO HANDSOME?!

His eyebrows were furrowed and he seemed worried.. Then, my questions began to bubble up again.
