A student

I am a student who loves to learn

When there are others that get ready to turn

I close my eyes and hope to do my best

For I trust that god will do the rest

No, I don't choose to be better than anyone

For I only want to be my own better self

I strive to get straight A's

Pretend that's how much the teacher pays

And if it doesn't work out

Maybe that's when the the times get rough

Ill keep my hopes up because its my dream to be tough

We are in this together

Lets keep our heads up and reach for the moon

So even if we don't, we will land on the stars

If not satisfied, then we will keep trying

And maybe reach the moon there, dreaming
