Readers POV:

It was the night of the dance and as the 2nd most popular person after Taylor Martin a lot of people were trying to go with me, but I personally wanted to go with April O' Neil She's been my best friend for years and I may or may not of developed a crush on her I was currently getting ready for the dance; I grabbed a F/c mediumish sleeved shirt and some jeans, I tucked the shirt into my pants, put on my shoes and went on my way to the dance.

I got there and it was rather dull, everyone was on their phone, and they looked like they were in a trans. I went to a table and sat there by myself, surprisingly no one came up to me and tried to ask for my number, I was rather peaceful

"Hey Taylor!!" I heard a shout and looked over to the door, I saw April and Dale I think was his name was going over to Taylor. She greeted them and I couldn't help but feel a little jealous at how happy April was to see Taylor.

"Hey, Y/N" I heard my name called and looked over, it was April calling my name and coming over to me "Whatcha doing alone??" She asked

"O-Oh, Uh just was waiting for you." I shrugged and she grabbed my wrist, taking me over to the table with Taylor.

"So what were you saying Taylor??" April asked and Taylor started talking about a new video game that recently dropped, Hippo Crush was the name and honestly sounded boring...

"You gonna download it Y/N?" Taylor asked and looked at me like a crazy person.

"U-Uh I... Left my phone at home." I said and rubbed the back of my neck, as she turned back to her phone with a frown, Obviously I didn't leave my phone at home I just don't want that weird ass game.

"How about you April?" She asked and moved outta her seat over to April "Did you get the game?" April looked a bit worried.

"I've been meaning to download it!" She said pulling out her phone and started to download the game, but something interrupted her download, and she went out into the hall.

I sat there for a moment before everyone got up outta there seat and walked outta the dance in a line, all still staring at their phone, I got up myself and followed them I saw April throw her phone to the ground and Taylor walked off.

"April!" I whisper yelled and walked over to her "What's happening?" I asked her and she shrugged at me.

"Let's follow em though" She said grabbing my wrist and we both ran after the people of our school; we ended up in the auditorium I sat next to April and Dale waiting to see what would happen. There was smoke and then the lights shined onto the middle of the stage reviling a Hippo in a tuxedo.

"Mutant Hippo?" April whispered and I looked over at her hoping for an explanation, but she just grabbed my wrist again and ran to the door with me, we tried to open them, but they were really loud, and the spotlights landed on us.

We quickly slid out and ran down the hall into a classroom we blocked the door with a table, I hid behind the teacher's desk, but I didn't know where April was which made me nervous.

"April~ Y/N~" Taylor called out and kicked open the door, walking in with to twin boys "It's your BFF Taylor, I just wanna hang" she sang and looked around. I heard a door slam and Taylor yell, so I assumed April got out. I stood up and no one was around so I left the classroom, I ran down the halls looking for April but couldn't find her anywhere.

"April!" I whispered Yelled, I felt a hand on my shoulder before being yanked into a locker, I looked behind me and saw April looking at me and then the vent.
