Grief, it's a difficult thing to process. Especially when it's from a loss of a family member. That's the kind of grief the Cosgrove family is dealing with. They just lost their eldest son.
And cancer was the killer.
The family lives in the USA, state of Montana, in a densely populated town called Aldridge.
The family was known as good God-fearing folk. They were always friendly and pleasant to chat with, everyone loves them and considers them to be the picture-perfect family.
Sadly, tragedy had struck perfection.
When it used to be a family of four, now is only three. The father, the mother, and the daughter.
The father Mackswell "Mackie" Cosgrove, he's a carpenter by trade and works as a freelancer. He loves to design and make furniture, in fact, most if not all of the furniture in his house is made by his own hands.

The man's in his late 40's. He's known to be outspoken, an active member of his community, and someone you can always rely on if you need a helping hand.
Mackswell stays strong, he has to for his family's sake, even when it's really, really... REALLY hard right now.
He just lost his pride and joy, his only son... his little buddy.
But he knows that as the man of the house, he has to keep himself together to keep everything else from falling apart.
He can hear his wife, Grace, crying behind him.
She was laying in their bed with her back turned to him. Mackswell scooched closer to her and wrapped his arm around her.
Grace Cosgrove, the wife, and mother of their last remaining child. It's been just over a week since her little boy had passed and 3 days after his funeral, yet the pain remained just as strong as if it was the first day she learned that her family suffered a tremendous loss.
Grace works as a teacher, in the town's local middle school. She loves working with kids and kids love her. She's kind and patient, but also very strict when she needs to be.
