Eddie's Pov

"I hate suits," He grumbles softly, as he sits on the pew in the far back as the wedding goes on.

"Just a few hours. How are you going to be with your own wedding?" Venom chuckles in his head. "Gonna wear sweatpants?"

"Do you know how tempting that is?" Eddie snickers quietly as he watches Anne walk down the aisle.

"Better hope our future partner doesn't mind," Vemom hums softly. "Anne looks beautiful."

"Very befitting of Dan," Eddie smiles gently, feeling happy for his friends.

"I still want a dance," Venom purrs. "One with the bride."

"If I can get one we will," Eddie assures Venom.

Everyone claps for the bride and groom once they're married, Eddie meandering to the reception as everyone waits for the bride and groom to arrive after photos. Eddie settles down at his table, ignoring the looks he gets as he sips the wine he had gotten.

"Why are you even here? You're her ex," One of Anne's friends complains as she glares.

"Seriously. Did you guilt her into letting you come?" Another demands.

"No, it was Dan who invited me," Eddie tells them with a patient smile. "I can't possibly turn that down."

"Well you should have," She complains. "You don't belong here."

"I don't think that's up for any of you to decide," Eddy points out. "Besides, I have someone. I'm not pining for Anne."

"Yeah right," The girls mumble before heading to the bar, leaving Eddie be.

"Talk about a nasty reception," Venom grumbles softly.

"It's to be expected. I'm not exactly popular with any of Anne's friends or family. Plus I've caused her and Dan trouble. It's only natural they learn about it," Eddie mumbles with a shrug of his shoulders. "Maybe we should just go."

"Ignore them, Eddie. Their opinions don't matter. Plus, it would be rude to just up and leave," Venom points out.

"It's like I'm in high school again," Eddie sighs softly. "Although it feels rather insensitive doing all of this."

"You can't come off suspicious Eddie. It's necessary to continue acting casual. Besides, we don't need Anne and Dan interfering either," Venom reminds him. "Anyone else knowing could mean we never help her."

"Fair point," Eddie sighs softly.

He stands and claps with everyone else when Dan and Anne come into the room, settling down in his chair to watch the first dance. After the first dance dinner is served, Eddie gladly eating. Eddie sighs softly as he watches everyone chat and laugh as they eat, the girls having not returned to the table. His eyes trail to Anna and Dan looking at each other with so much love, his mind wandering to him and Venom's relationship. They both agreed something else was desired but Eddie was also happy with what they had. Venom is Eddie's better half emotionally, mentally and physically. After dinner he gets to his feet, ignoring the looks he earns and heading up to the main table.

"So, who do I get to dance with first?" He asks with a grin. "The bride or the groom?"

"Very amusing," Dan laughs.

"Don't make a scene," Anne huffs under her breath.

"Come Anne, don't fault him for his orientation," Dan tells her, gently grasping her hand before he looks at Eddie. "Sorry, this married man doesn't swing that way."
