You are a sweet girl, Ginerva.

And by the way,

I feel like you know me better than anyone else as well.

You make me happy, Tom.

I'm glad I do. Honestly,

everything feels so much better when we write.

You cannot imagine the pain of spending more than

50 years all alone trapped in this godforsaken book.

It sounds awful. I'm glad I can give you some peace and company.

I do wish you could give me more than that,

but alas, here we are.

I understand. I wish I could give you even more.

You could actually...

There's one thing I haven't told you yet.

Before she could answer, a voice interrupted her. Quickly, she shut the book and hid it next to her.

"You're smiling down into a book again."

Ginny rolled her eyes as she realised it was Malfoy.

"Stalking me again, Malfoy?" she sneered.

It gained nothing more than a cheeky smile from the boy who stood leaning against the tree.

"Honestly, you should watch yourself. Soon people will think you're the new Loony." he scoffed as he stared down at her.

"There's nothing wrong with Luna." Ginny said fiercely.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. What was that book you had there?"

She did not like how interested Malfoy sounded, and quickly came up with a lie on the spot.

"Just ancient runes."

"What are you, horny on runes or something?" he laughed.

It surprised her how easily it flowed out of him, how rich it sounded and how beautiful he looked with the corner of his eyes slightly crinkled.

"Yeah, that's me. Aroused by runes." she frowned.

"Good to know." he said and winked at her before walking away.

Ginny rolled her eyes again before opening Tom's diary, making sure Malfoy was a far distance away.

Sorry. Malfoy came and disturbed me.

He seems to be around you more often.

I've realised that too. I wonder what he wants.
