"Ow, ow, ow!" you gripped at your forehead, as Sharkur pulled you to your feet again, looking behind at Scaramouche running to catch up.

The confusion of being in this state, along with the Delusion's effects, made you unco-ordinated, as you stumbled left and right.

"Bend down!" Sharkur told you, as Ajax scrambled to his feet to push you from behind.

"Okay, go go go!"

The three of you managed to get through the door and slam it shut on Scaramouche, and Ajax placed a nearby broom through the handlebars.

"That should keep him at bay for the next 30 seconds." Ajax says. "Now run!"

The three of you scramble up the stairs clumsily, and make it outside in the rain.

You felt a stinging sensation along your body.

You wrapped your arms around yourself, as you shivered from the cold.

"Hey! It's okay! Come on..."

Ajax takes off his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders.

He seems unfazed, a sad smile on his face.

"Now, I want you to calm down-"

"How?! How can I calm down when I'm like THIS?!"

Suddenly, you felt your sight go blurry.

You no longer felt the stinging sensation of the rain, and when your sight sharpened again, you were face to face with Ajax's chest.

You had gone back to normal, your tears streaking down your face and mixing with the rain.

You looked up at Ajax, your bottom lip wobbling.

"A-Ajax..."

"Y/N."

His strong arms embraced you tightly, as he kissed your forehead and sighed breathlessly.

"I was so, so worr-"

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry, Ajax! Scaramouche.. he-"

"Sh... no explanation needed. I know. He tricked you. He used you, dammit."

You felt his chest heave as he held back a sob, his voice cracking at the last word, and he pulled you even closer, his hand at the back of your head as a form of protection.

The rain trickled down both your faces.

"This shouldn't have happened. I should've been more careful. It's all because of my stupid job that you... you and others..."

He let out the sob he's been holding back.

"Aja-"

"No! D-Don't speak... it'll make things worse. For me... I-I don't want an apology! I just want.. I want you to be okay..."

Your face crumpled.

"I'm alright...see? There's nothing to worry about...I'm okay, I-"

Ajax broke.

He couldn't form another word, as he shoved his face in your hair.

You held on to the back of his jacket, unsure of how to comfort him.

"I just want to be close to you, so impossibly close..." he whispered.

"I want to climb inside you and never come back out."

...

"This is uh, this is Sharkur..." you said with an awkward little grin.

You were sitting inside of the Komore Teahouse in Inazuma City, and were all drying off from the thunderous rain outside.
