***It seemed fitting that Drake should get his own oneshot when John did in Beautiful Heist!***

Oneshot – Drake's POV

Do You Want The Truth To Smack You In The Face?

Sometimes I wondered if Emmy and Hattie were really sisters.

They did so many things the same. They both laughed at the stupidest things, gave the same look when they didn't believe you when you told them something, seemed to always be able to read each other's thoughts with just one glance, and, last but not least, they were two of the most important people in my life.

Hattie meant a little more, though...but I would never tell Emmy that.

What happened, though, was that I was receiving that look from Emmy just then as the four of us – me, her, John, and Beau – watched Hattie walk upstairs after barely saying a word once we got to Paddon Manor.

"What the hell did you do to her, Drake?" Em growled at me as I handed the case over to John. "Don't make me beat it out of you...because you know I will."

John clamped a hand down on Beau's shoulder, though it didn't stop Beau from giving me a scrutinizing look. "Come on, Beau. As much fun as it'd be to watch her rip him a new one, they need to do this alone."

Well, there went my safety.

"Thanks, man," I called to him as the two of them turned the corner to the hallway.

"Try not to get blood on the rug!" he called back, laughing.

Em reached up and pulled on my ear. "What happened, Drake, or so help me..."

"Geez, woman. Would you calm down?" I said, pulling her hand from my ear and started for the stairs.

"Don't you walk away from me, Drake Garner!" she yelled, following me. "We're going to talk about this and we're going to talk about this now!"

"And we will," I nodded, turning toward her on the stairs. "But can we go somewhere private...where no one's listening in?"

I looked pointedly over the railing toward the hallway John and Beau had disappeared to. John, Ryan, Ren, and Jason were peeking around the corner, but had quickly backed away when I smirked at them.

"I think we'll just be heading toward the kitchen..." Ryan called out, making a huge show of stomping down the hallway.

Emmy followed as we headed to the room that always was mine, just down the hallway from Hattie's. Both of us heard when the shower turned on and Emmy sighed.

"You both look like crap," she said as we went into my room. As I tugged off my suit jacket, she closed the door behind her. "You got caught in the rain, huh?"

I snorted humorlessly. "Poetic, right?"

"Only if you kissed her," she said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "But by the way she's avoiding you like the plague, that's not how it went, huh?"

I shook my head and headed for the closet as I unbuttoned my shirt. All I wanted to do at the moment was change out of my clothes and not have her questioning me. So I knelt down beside my bag and pulled out a t-shirt and jeans, quickly changing before heading back into my room.

"That's not going to happen."

She outright laughed. "Oh, whatever, Drake. Keep telling yourself that."
