The Chosen

"I heard." Clarke frowns

"I was only trying to save my people. Is that so wrong?" Echo questions

"Bellamy come in do you read?" Monty radioed back

"Yes Monty I read you. Where are you?"

"Two clicks outside Polis. Almost there. Everything ok?"

"Not exactly. Monty, I hate to ask you this, but we broke down on the way to the island to get Raven. We need you to come reel us in."

"We're on our way. Tell us exactly where you are."

Emori started to cough blood. She was breathing heavily.

"You've been exposed." Clarke stated

"How is that possible? She's wearing a suit." Murphy points out

Clarke looks around and finds a tear.

"We can fix it we just need tape." Murphy says

"We don't have any tools or weapons." Clarke reminded

"So we give her the extra suit then." Murphy says

"We don't have another suit." Bellamy cuts in

"Yes we do."

He turns to Echo, "Take it off."

"I saved your life."

"What were you goanna do if we didn't get attacked huh? Do you guys seriously think she was following us out of the kindness of her heart? No she was goanna attack us the second we stopped." Murphy seethed

He launched towards her but Bellamy stopped him.

"You cut that suit, and it'll save no one!" Bellamy yells

"Could I give her my helmet?" I ask

"Yours is too small. You have the smallest suit out of all of us so the helmet wouldn't fit." Bellamy said

"I won't let her die!" Murphy yells

"Neither will I" Clarke reassured before taking off her helmet

"Clarke what are you doing?"

"I have nightblood."

"Untested nightblood." Bellamy points out

"We're testing it now. Take off her helmet." Clarke orders

Murphy quickly took of Emoris helmet and replaced it with Clarke's

"Bellamy you there? Come in." Monty radioed

"Yeah we're here. Head northeast from Polis, and Monty, drive fast."

I was sitting in the back of the truck, looking at the stars, bored out of my mind.

I checked my watch and realize we missed our window. I know my people are in good hands. I trust Tavia.

Thankfully, Monty comes up to us in the rover and comes out with Harper.

"We got here as fast as we could. Clarke, you're exposed come on let's get you into the rover-" Monty worries

"No. Monty I'm fine."

"I'll grab the extra helmet." Harper says before running back to the rover.

"Guys cmon. Planet ain't getting any less irradiated." Murphy joked

Suddenly Clarke starts to cough blood. Harper had brought the whole suit since the helmets don't match.

"Clarke. You have to wear the suit. It was for Jasper at least now it'll do some good. You should put it on. Jasper would want you to. If we're still goanna make it to the island.." Monty softly smiles, handing her the suit

"We're not going to the island."

"Yes we are. Nightblood dosent work."

"We don't know that yet. Luna got sick before she got better so-"

Clarke cuts Bellamy off, "Even if you're right, they won't let us into the bunker if I'm still sick. It took days for Lunas resistance to kick in. And by that time, the death wave will already be here. And all of our friends will be dead. Are you ok with that?" Clarke questions

"You know I'm not. Clarke, unless I'm missing something, there is no other way for us to survive." Bellamy points out

"What if there is?"

After many hours we finally make it to the lab.

We find Raven sitting at the bottom of the stairs, surprised to see us.

We take off our helmets and breathe in the fresh air.

"What are you doing here?" She furrows her brows

"We're not leaving you behind." Bellamy smiles as we walk down the steps

"But there's no time to get back."

"We're not going back. We're going up." Clarke smirks

"Oh don't look so surprised it was your crazy idea to begin with." Murphy joked

"Space? But we don't have enough fuel to get back down." Raven points out.

"Sounds like a five year problem to me." I shrug

"You're talking about the Ring."

"Seems like ashame to let a good rocket go to waist." Bellamy smiles

"Uh how do we live?"

"They left a water reclamator there. And we know that go-Sci has an algae farm. We just get those two things up and running and we have food and water." Clarke simply says

"Algae salads and recycled urine. Sign me up." Murphy rolls his eyes

"Better than dying." Emori chuckles

"Okay slow down. Breathings important too. What's the plan for oxygen?" Raven asks

"Based on what Murphy says about the lighthouse bunker I'm hoping- make that praying that there's an oxygenator there." Monty informs

"You're and engineer, Monty. You do know there's about a thousand problems with that plan, right?" Raven raises her brow

"Yes. And every one of them kills us. Of course, staying here will kill us too so..."

"Raven, we need you to get us off the ground before the death wave hits. What do you say? Can you do it?" Bellamy asks

"What do I say? I say that death wave can kiss my ass."

"Good it's settled then. We're going back to the Ark." I smile
