"I... have experienced them first hand. It's really not as great as you make it seem..."
"You're saying it's not worth it?"
"It may be more powerful than a Vision, but as you've seen..."
Sharkur grimaced.
"Master Childe had one a few years back. An Electro Delusion. It shaped his life for the worse and he even began to think that he himself was a monster. I just about managed to save his life...and the memories of him losing control of himself haunt me whenever I think about Delusions... I- I'm even starting to regret being a Fatui member, seeing so many people suffer..."
Sharkur was quiet.
"Lose control...?"
"He attacked me, Sharkur.."
Flashbacks played in your mind, Ajax's blackened, psychotic eyes boring deep into yours.
"He lost control."
You remember seeing Ajax smile in the most broken way you've ever seen a man smile, before he dropped you into the freezing cold lake where you first met.
"He almost died, like that guy, in his quest to become to the most powerful, he lost his inner self, who he used to be."
"AJAX!!"
The mask broke in half as you both plummeted towards imminent death, and you still remember the fear etched on his face as if it were yesterday, bloodied and dirtied.
The face of a lost soul
There was a long silence, as Sharkur stared deeply at the Delusion in his hand, turning it over and over, as if contemplating something.
"I won't stop you if this is still what you want to do Sharkur... but I am going to stop this nonsense. 3/4 of the soldiers in Inazuma are at a high risk of death because of these stupid fake Visions. I won't let another region face its downfall because of the Fatui and their dastardly ways."
You turned around and were about to march away from Sharkur when you felt a warm hand grasp your wrist desperately.
You turned around slowly, to be met with a sly smirk on Sharkur's face.
"What's the plan?"
...
"Master Scaramouche is going to kill us..."
Sharkur stepped on the gas in the Waverider, as the storm became worse, the rain lashing against the windows loudly.
"Who cares?! This plan is awful and will cost everything this region has! They're already suffering... I can't let another region face its downfall!"
Sharkur's face contorted in many different expressions before finally settling on your face.
"You're great, Lady Y/N. You're super."
"I'm just doing my job."
Sharkur shook his head and smiled.
"You have no business here. You could've ran away, far away and left everything behind. But you chose to stand and continue fighting. You... you really remind me of Shaia..."
Yashiori Island had shown up in the distance.
"We're almost there. Do you know what you're doing?"
"I'm going to put a stop to the Factory. I'm going to burn it to the ground. I have a Cryo Vision though, not a Pyro one. Don't know how I'm going to achieve this..."
"I've got your back, my lady! Always."
This scared you.
You were a wanted criminal in a country you've only been in for 2 days, with no communication with Ajax.
