Chapter 12: Can't lie

Start from the beginning

The twins went silent.

"Did you two fight someone?!" Yuken raised his voice slightly as he stood up.

"We have no other choice, they chased us!" Kiko reasoned.

"Who are they?" Yuken asked with a hardened expression. His jaw tighten as he thought of someone that could potentially hurt his sisters.

"Kidra members," Nozomi winced as she finally told him. The older male looked at the twins back and forth for a few seconds before letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Why on earth these Kidra were chasing you?!"

"We kind of pissed them off," Kiko answered.

"Damn, you two will be the cause of my early death," Yuken muttered as he ran his hand through his face.

"We're sorry, okay? We didn't get hurt or anything. We fought them with some Oya High students," Nozomi told her brother. The male sat down on the sofa once again. The twins kneeled down in front of him.

As much as they like to annoy their older brother, they don't want him to see all worried about them. The twins felt guilty for getting into trouble when Yuken stressed himself because of them.

"Oya High students?"

"Yes, they were kind of our friends now. They helped us," Kiko explained.

"We're sorry," the twins said in unison. They gave him a pleading look as Yuken looked at the two girls for a few seconds and then looked away. He took off his glasses and placed them on the table as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Don't you dare do it again, alright? They are not just teenage delinquents that you can deal with," Yuken reminded the two with a gentle voice just like how an older brother would remind his younger siblings.

"Yes, we will not do it again," Nozomi spoke while Kiko nodded in agreement.

"Promise?"

The twins looked at him and then looked down.

"We can't really promise not to get in trouble," Kiko said and scrunched up her nose.

"Of course," Yuken sighed and nodded in defeat while the twins grinned sheepishly.

"Does it hurt?" Nozomi suddenly questioned as she pointed to Yuken's swollen face.

"Not really," he shrugged. The twins then sat down on both of his sides.

"Who beat you up, then?" Kiko smirked while the older male glared at her.

"Some dude with glasses," he muttered.

"Oh, that's Todoroki!" Kiko exclaimed and clapped her hands excitedly. "He's really nice even though he won't show it."

Yuken gave her a pointed look, "You met him?"

"Yeah, earlier. He was one of the boys who helped us beat Kidra men."

The oldest Odajima didn't say anything as he stood up and sighed.

"Where did you say their hideout is?" Yuken suddenly asked.

"Hope Hill," Nozomi answered.

The male nodded in thanks and left for his room.

"If you two show up in the fight, I will tell on you," Yuken warned as he gave them a knowing look.

The twins found out that Housen will be going to Hope Hill to fight Kidra. Knowing them, who just casually popped out in the middle of the fight, Odajima Yuken instantly reminded them that they are not allowed to go there. Especially after what happened the other day.

"Tell on what?" Kiko asked in confusion.

"More like tell on who," their brother said.

"W-Who?" Nozomi asked. Yuken just looked at them and turned around in the opposite direction leaving the twins to wonder who he is talking about.

"What was that?" Kiko asked as she looked at her twin.

"Did he just threaten us?"

"Probably, I kinda feel threatened."

The twins shrugged it off as they walked to their school.

Before they even got to school, they spotted Fujio running in their direction.

"Yo, ohayou!" he said as he breathed a heavy sigh.

"Good morning," Nozomi muttered while her twin looked at Fujio with confusion.

"What'cha doing?" Kiko asked.

"I was just going to ask you guys a question," Fujio told them. He placed his hands on his hips as he breathed out and gave them a boyish grin.

"Go on," Kiko nodded to him.

"Where's Kidra's hideout?"

The twins glanced at each other with raised brows and then at Fujio.

"Hope Hill," Kiko replied.

"Eh? You're serious? Hope Hill?!"

"Yep," Nozomi shrugged. Fujio scoffed in disbelief as he didn't expect that it would be in his own neighborhood.

"Thanks!" the boy grinned happily and suddenly pulled Kiko into a hug. The girl let out a squeal.

Fujio realized what he did and quickly pulled away. "Sorry! I'm sorry!"

The boy stammered as he looked at the twins, "I-I got to go! I'll see you guys later! Thank you!"

As soon as he ran, Nozomi glanced at her sister who is still looking in the direction where Fujio was headed.

"Would you look at that," Nozomi teased as she gave her twin a smug grin.

"W-What are you talking about?" Kiko questioned still flustered by what happened earlier.

"Someone's got a little crush."

"I don't have a crush on Fujio!"

"I didn't say it was Fujio." Nozomi gave her an innocent look.

"L-let's just go to school!" Kiko said as she lightly bowed her head to hide her reddened face.

"Whatever you say, Kiko," Nozomi giggled as she is clearly enjoying teasing her twin.

"Shut up!"
