Chapter 1

Nico sat with his back against the wall. He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. Now isn't the time to get upset over a stupid argument. Nico knows that he is supposed to be nice to his step brother, he knows that he is supposed to get along with his family, but his god damn step brother. His step father wasn't any better. Maybe the ass hole gene runs in the family.

*bing*

Nico smiled as he pulled his phone out of his pocket and saw a message from Percy.

Percy: Hey, Skype me?

Nico: Hi... give me a minute.

Nico got up and logged onto his computer.

"Took you long enough Neeks, I almost thought you weren't going to get on." Nico smiled lightly as the black haired boy's face appeared on the screen, smiling back at him.

"Sorry, didn't mean to keep you waiting."

They have been doing this for about a year and a half now; skyping, messaging, calling. They have never met in person, they live in different states, but if Nico lived in California instead of New York, or vise versa, then they would probably live together. The two boys have spent countless hours discussing the topic of actually meeting each other, but neither of them ever made the bold move to fly to the other. It's not that they didn't want to, god they both wanted to so badly, it's just that neither of them actually had the guts to ask their parents about it.

"Nico, are you okay?" Percy cocked his eyebrow and frowned slightly.

"Hm, yeah I'm fine." Even though Nico told Percy just about everything about himself, there were still a few things that he hadn't told the boy.

"I kind of really hate that I can't hug you right now."

"You could if you would come see me..." Percy sighed.

"I know Neeks, I know. You know how much I want to... it's just-"

"Your mom." Percy frowned and looked down.

"Yeah."

Nico loved the way Percy would pout when he was deep in thought. His bottom lip would stick out slightly and he would look away. Nico also loved Percy's eyes. They were bluer than the sky, and resembled the ocean on a nice sunny day. Nico thought that his own eye color was boring, dark brown, so he enjoyed looking at Percy's colorful and exciting eyes.

"Percy do you have any homework?" Nico smiled a little when Percy looked up at his mom.

"Mom I'm talking to someone." Percy's cheeks flushed.

"Who?"

"Nico."

"Again, who?" It suddenly dawned on Nico that Percy hadn't told his mom about him, and he suddenly frowned.

"He's my friend, come say hi." Percy knew he was going to have to explain everything to his mom later, but for now he placed a small smile on his lips. Percy's mom came up behind him and gave Nico a gentle smile, which he returned.

"Do you go to school with Perce?"

"Ugh, no ma'am. We ugh, we just know each other from-"

"From swimming." Nico glared at Percy, Percy frowned back at him.

"Actually no, we know each other from the internet." Percy sighed and Nico looked at his mom again.

"Oh, well ugh, as long as you don't try to kill my son then ugh... okay."

"Mom can you go now?"

"Yes, but get your homework done." When Percy looked back at Nico, he knew he was going to have to explain. Nico had told his parents about Percy, why hadn't Percy done the same?
