Locked in this cell
Deprive of freedom, only to observe
Things that were believed destroyed
What was I fighting for
What was the reason for war
Dreams crumbled in the face of reality
Hope dime down face to calamity
Love vanishes devastated by cruelty
The light turns off leaving obscurity
I have seen the devil with his minions
I have seen humans turn into demons
A promise unkept, challenging days ahead
I am a bird in a cage, a prisoner of myself.
