It's been a couple of days since Evangeline told her family the news and to say they were angry was an understatement granted her siblings were not necessarily mad at her more at the person who helped create her current situation while her dad was just disappointed but promised to help her in any way.
Right now Evangeline, Christina, and George were watching Meredith assist Burke to perform open heart surgery.
"I wish I could hold a heart." George said
"A monkey could hold a heart."Christina said eating an apple at the same time Evangeline said" I'm sure you will Georgie."
"You're mad Burke didn't ask you."George said while Evangeline gave him a high five and continued to eat her chips.
"George, I need more ice and chips."Izzie said as she took her seat next to Evangeline
"Who else did you invite?"George asked as they all turned to look at Izzie
"We said the list was jocks only..."Christina said
"Surgery, Trauma, Plastics. Who else?"Evangeline asked
"Just some people from Peds," Izzie said before taking a sip of her coffee
"You invented the preschoolers to Meredith's house."Christina said sitting back "Next thing, You'll say that you invited the shrinks. She invited mental defects. This party is D.OA."
"Meredith thinks this is going to be a small meet your boyfriend cocktail thing. Did you clear this with her?"George said as Evangeline nodded in agreement.
"No, But I will. I promise." Izzie said
"Why are you wasting the only weekend your boyfriend is in town at a big party? Is he bad in bed? "Christina asked
"No. I just want him to meet some of my friends."Izzie defend
"Right.60 geeks in scrubs are your friends."Christina said as Evangeline high-fived her before her pager beeped
"She has a point Izzie."Evangeline said
"Ugh. Bad sex- sucks for you." Christina said as she got up and started to walk out
"I heard there's a party tonight at Meredith's house."Alex said as he walked in
"Oh really a party?"Christina asked
"Uh, news to me."Izzie said as George and Evangeline said "No party."
"We losing her or what?"Alex said as he stood and watched the surgery
The intern all watched as the patient's heart flat line and luckily Burke was able to get it started up again. Meredith, George and Evangeline were walking down the hall on there way to rounds
"So how's the new apartment?"George asked the younger girl
"It's good, hopefully, I'll be able to fully unpack this weekend."Evangeline said taking a sip of the tea that she had picked up.
"If you want I'm off this weekend so I could come over and help you."George said
"That would be awesome, afterwords we could grab a bite as a thank you."Evangeline suggested
"Yeah that sounds good."George said with a big smile
"Perfect does 10 on Saturday work?"Evangeline asked
"Yeah I'll be there."George said
Just as Evangeline was about to say something they ran into Derek
"Hey,I heard you did a cabbage with Burke."Derek said to Meredith as he took a bite of his salad "Did you get to hold the heart?"
