WHAT THE HELL? I have been wanting to drink something since I got here. Kiel dragged me to this wedding where the bride and the groom are no friends of mine. Well, there were some celebrities, some politicians, some bigtime business people. Dad was invited but he and Mom are in London attending Sophia's graduation, my only sibling. I came here as Kiel's date. Kaso ang lalaking yung nilalandi na naman niya ang ate ng bride. Grrr.
I went to get some soda. When I opened the can kasi naman naiihi na ako kaya dalhin ko na lang ang coke sa powder room. At binangga ako, or bumangga ako, or nabangga ko tong mamang to. And i spilled the soda on his clothes. Sa barong niya. Sa sapatos niya. Shit! Ihing ihi na ako tapos ganito pa. And burly men grabbed me.
"Hey, wait. Get your hands off me."
"Miss dito tayo."
And I was whisked to a room. It happened too fast. Hindi ko nga nakita kung sino ang nabangga ko. Shit, big time ba yun? Sino ba siya? Presidente ng Pilipinas?
"Miss, eto si Master Sgt Myrna De Jesus. Kakapkapan ka lang. May baril ka ba? Bakit mo binangga ang pangulo?"
"Ha!? Ako bumangga? Excuse me, ako ang binangga, pwede ba? Tsaka bakit ako kakapkapan? At wala akpng dalang baril. Sino ba kayo? "
" Security protocol lang Ma'am. "
" PSG, Ma'am. "
" PSG?"
Then i realized...
"That's the president? "
Oh man! I poured soda on the president of the Philippines.
Three days ago...
We were at the anniversary ceremony of the ARMY and President Rosello was the guest of honor. We saw him. It was the first time I saw him in person. He's matangkad and looks young. Mukhang early 30s lang hindi.... Ilang taon na ba aiya? Fifty? Every girl there were swooning kasi nga guapo, sexy and single hahaha. My friends asked me at lunch that day, if the president woul court me, sasagutin ko ba? I told them hindi kasi matanda na and I am not interested sa mga mature men.. i like my age. Pero deep within me, siyempre ide date ko. Mukhang yummy naman siya hehehehe
Now
"Miss?"
"Ha?"
"Pwede ka nang umalis. Swerte mo, si President mismo nagsabi na palayain ka."
I looked at the soldier who spoke. I looked at him and said a curt "thank you" and left for the bathroom. Actually, ran for the bathroom.
