(Y/n)'s Pov:
I was taking a stroll through Hyrule Field, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the perfect weather. I was waiting for my best friend, Link. He sent me a letter saying that he has great news to tell me. I sat under a tree, waiting for my childhood friend. A few moments later, I heard footsteps coming towards me. I looked up to see Link, with a bright smile on his face. "Hi Link." I greeted. He sat down beside me. "Hello (y/n)." He greeted back. "So, what's the news you're going to tell me?" I asked with a little bit of excitement in my voice. He laughed at my childish face. "Well, I just wanted to say I am now in a relationship with Princess Zelda!" Link exclaimed. My smile then turned into a frown. "What?" I asked, trying to make sure I heard him correctly. "I confessed to her! Isn't that great?!" Link asked. I looked down to the ground with a sad look on my face. "What's wrong?" Link asked. "N-nothing!" I exclaimed with a fake smile. He just eyed me up and down suspiciously. "(Y/n), I know something's wrong. I could tell by the look in your eyes." He said. I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth. "Why her?" I whispered. "Huh?" "Why would you want to be with her?!?!" I yelled, now showing an angry expression. "All she'll do is leave you and break your heart!" I yelled again. Now, it was Link's turn to be angry. "Your wrong!She's not like that! I know she's not!" He argued back. "How would you know?! I've seen her with plenty of other guys! Leaving one after another!" I argued. "It's just...I don't want to see you hurt." I said. Tears were threatening to fall, but I wouldn't let them. "You're wrong!" Link yelled. "Link, I'm your best friend! Listen to me!" I yelled. "NO! I won't listen to your lies! Why are you even my friend if you don't want what's best for me?!" He asked. "This isn't what's best for you! You deserve better than her!" I yelled. "Just go..." He mumbled. I was choking back the tears, I just let them
fall, not caring anymore. "Fine I will go! But, you will regret you decision. And when you realized what you did wrong, don't come crying back to me." I said as I was about to walk to the direction of my house, while Link went the other direction. Tears were flooding down my cheeks. 'You deserve a lot better...' I thought. I went home and closed the door to my bedroom. I cried myself to sleep, never forgetting this day.
