As the title suggests this is a story about a mermaid, but this tale isn't your typical mermaid story. Even though the beginning may start out the same, I can assure you that this tale is nothing like the fairy tale.
As always in a land far far away is a kingdom call The Sea Light Kingdom. This kingdom is located within one of the great 7 seas. Within each great sea stands a kingdom of its own, each one with its own type of sea.
(But we'll get more into that later on in the story, for now let's continue with the The Sea Light Kingdom. ) ~ Narrator
The Sea Light Kingdom is located in the Clear Sea. The Clear Sea allows the people to get an inside look of everything that goes on within the sea. Where the fishes gather, treasure lays, and even more. The land is quite large and holds thousands of people, which makes it one of the largest cities of the 7. The kingdom is full of towns people that thrive from the sea and land.
The people of the Sea Kingdom thrive from both land and sea, even though their greatest resource is the sea. (But, they know that if you use too much of something then eventually nothing will be left.) Even so the people manage their resources quite well since their kingdom has been around for so long.
On the very edge of the land stands the Sea Light Kingdom's castle where the King and his two sons live. The King name is Sarise, he stands tall and rules the kingdom with a strong mind and peaceful hand. He imantes the rays of royalty and high status. With his brown mid-length hair nicely pulled back and tied in a ponytail, draped in his royal brown suit and a royal purple cap that stays on his shoulders with a golden chain. He wears this royal outfit while sitting upon his thrown starring at his two son's. King Sarise stares down at his sons with his brown narrow eyes with intensety, and speaks "So, explain?" He asks with a subtle intensity.
The two Princes kneel before their father, the king. The eldest brother on the right and the youngest on the left. The eldest brother had short blonde hair that shaped his face and had brown eyes just like his father. His wears a black suit with a white long sleeve under shirt and a black long sleeve jacket with a royal red ingravement of the Sea Light Kingdoms crest. His younger brother on the left had short red hair that also shaped his face and green eyes. He wasn't dressed in anything fancy but that was by choose. The youngest prince was wearing just a long sleeve white shirt that was rolled up to his elbow and long brown pants. Now you may be wondering why do these two brothers look so different. Well, simply put they have two different mothers.
The eldest prince mother was abantion from the castle, due to greed. While the youngest prince's mother die from an unknown illness that still to this day no one in the kingdom or 7 great seas knows. ~ A short point yet important for the future. Now back to the prince's of the story ~ Narrator
As the King spoke those words it took a moment for one of them to speak. The eldest prince spoke first Prince Clay. " I was just trying to help my younger brother, and trying my best to not have him cause any more trouble with his little fantasy theory." the first prince say quite clam while kneeling. The youngest brother, Prince Kai, just sided eyed his brother and signed. "I was not trying to cause trouble my king, only trying to seek out the truth to prove my theory, nothing more my king." Prince Kai said calmly while also kneeling and looking down. "How can you find the truth when there is none." Prince Clay said rudely Prince Kai just stayed quiet and waited for his father to speak.
"Leave us First Prince of the Sea Light Kingdom Clay." the king spoke. Without another word Prince Clay rose up and bowed to the king and then exited the thrown room. "Now then are you still chasing this fantasy, my son?" "Yes, I am father." "Is it really that important to you?" "Yes, father." With that a silent spread through the thrown room. *sigh* the king did and then told his son that he was free to go. His son stood and bowed to his father and then left. Once his son left the King started to wonder about his son's. The eldest Prince Clay who was focused on becoming the next king and the youngest Prince Kai who was chasing after a foulest tale. But, when they both were young they both chased after the same tale, so why did one stop following the tale and another one continue.
Even though the youngest, Prince Kai, may seem like his just goofing off with his princely duties, he was not. Prince Kai was actually up to date with all of his princely duties. He always gets all of them done before setting off to find the truth to the tale. While his brother Prince Clay focused wholeheartedly on his princely duties, which in turn made him favorable for the crown. Even though Prince Clay is favored for the crown within the castle and the high class, Prince Kai was more favorable with the people, who wanted him to have the crown. While Prince Kai chases a tale that leads him to interact with the people of his kingdom, especially with the sailors, fishermen, and sea gathers. He's closer to them because in order to find the truth that he seeks, he needs to go out to sea. See the truth of the tale lays at sea, but can this young Prince find it, well we'll just have to see.
