Arriving home I got out the car and grabbed my stuff before closing the door and locking it.
Hearing foot steps behind me I quickly ran to my apartment building.

"unt uh I watch to much movies to get taken out like that" I said out of breathe as I got into the elevator
Once it got to my floor I got off the elevator and walked towards my door.
"home sweet home" I sighed as I got inside
I locked my door and walked towards my kitchen before grabbing water and headed to my room.
I turned the shower on before stripping out of my clothes then got in.
"Damn this cold..." I said once I got in
"no duhh Lani you ain't even wait for it to get hot"
" Not me talking to myself" I laughed
As the water started to heat up I stood under the shower head and let the water run down my body.
Zoning out I started to think about everything I was going through.
I've been by myself most of my life.
After my dad died it became more known to how lonely I was. I've never met any of my grandparents, never got along with my mom, don't have any siblings.... that I know of, and don't know any of my family members.
It has always been just me and my thoughts.
Literally.
Coming back to reality I grabbed my wash cloth and lathered it in soap before cleaning my body.
After I was done with my shower I dried off and put my robe on before walking over to the sink to brush my teeth.
"Bout to go to sleep just like this" I said after I rinsed my mouth out
I walked out the bathroom and turned the light off before getting into bed and falling asleep.

It was currently the next day and I was back at work tired as hell.
Today wasn't as busy as it usually was simply because it's a weekday.
"I'm so over this Job" Kayla sighed
"Then quit" I smiled
"I bet you'd love that" she rolled her eyes
"Yup"
"Why do you hate me so much ?"
"Oh I don't hate you...you not all that for me to be hating on you" I shrugged
She scoffed "yea okay"
I walked away from her as a group of men walked into the store.
"I'm not going over there" I mumbled to myself while looking the other way
"Aye you" I heard someone yell
"Yes" I heard Kayla fast self
"Not you I mean ha" he said causing me to turn around
I scrunched my face up " you don't know how to call on a girl?" I asked looking at him
"My bad ma I ain't mean it in a disrespectful way" he said causing me to roll my eyes
"How can I help you ?" I asked walking towards him
"You got a 10 in these ?" He asked holding up some ones
"I think so, but I gotta check" I said taking the shoes from him
"Alright and my boy over there wanna know if you got them black supreme forces in a 9"
"Okay give me a sec" I said before walking away and letting out the long sigh I was holding
"You so scary" Kayla said rolling her eyes
Ignoring her I continued looking for the size 9 forces.
" you know you really did lose some weight not a lot but some" she said causing me to stop what I was doing and looked at her
"Kayla I advise you to stop playing with me before you get your ass beat...I ain't the same girl I use to be so trend lightly" I said bumping passed her
"Alright these the ones and these the forces anything else ?"
"No thank you" he said taking the shoes out the book and trying them on
"No problem" I said before waking off
"I'm so over it" I sighed while walking towards the bathroom
"Hopping out at red lights, twerking on them head light, she say she ain't come outside today... that mean she scared right" I said as the TikTok played on my phone
