The Familial Adventure- Chapter 5
"Cale" "Answer me." "It's almost dinner, do you wanna eat outside today?"
Still until the end no answer.
Ah yes
Cale has been giving Kim Rok Soo the silent treatment since yesterday afternoon.
Why? Well he absolutely has no idea.
Together for over a year again as Cale is 13 and KRS is 39 or 715
They have been taking care of each other and is actually slowly understanding one another more
And yes, Cale is starting to see how his and KRS's relationship will be and its totally fine
(Thats a lie. He loves it. He loves the fact that there is someone for him now. He loves the fact that Ruksoo cares for him fully and will love him back)
Back to the story.
The human and the dragon were reading in the library surprisingly together
Although both looked immersed in reading
KRS is actually bothered about something, big time.
He is uncharacteristically frowning (which is surprising because he barely shows emotions, well if you're not his child that is)
He is glancing every now and then to Cale who has an obvious poker face
After a few minutes of pacing around, he slammed his book shut and sighed loudly
The other did not even flinch, but his eyes did shook a bit
"Tell me what I did wrong. Now." The dragon demanded making himself thought he is scary
Busy with that. The red head is happy as he did not see him flinch from the sudden raise of tone
(He does not wish for his only hope of affection to hate him)
"You should know. Talk to me again if you find out" said the child acting as if he isn't scared of what might happen
He just left and most likely went to bake something sweet for himself
It made the dragon think
Really hard.
(He did not want to lose another family just from this small argument)
Minutes of thinking flew by
Trying to remember all the records of their times together
Then it snapped
"The gold.." he muttered and went to find his little version
Cale who just finished baking his cookies is cleaning up the kitchen
Then the other appeared
He hurridly asked "Is this about the gold?" It made the other stop from wiping the counter "You finally know now." "Sorry if I threw away your gold by accident. I thought it was mine-" suddenly a glass shattered on the sink
"What? Are you okay-" he about to walk towards him but instead was met with a yell "You fcking idiot!" "I hate you so much! Why do you gotta be like this!" Cale yelled, even throwing his cookies (without the plate) on the mighty beings face
Tears fell as he ignored him again
The child ran to the bed after leaving a stunned dragon alone in the kitchen he made a mess in
He quickly did some magic to restore the broken glass, clean the kitchen and the cookies back to when their just freshly made.
He then followed the other, slowly approaching him
"Cale-" his hand was then slapped away
Even as a dragon his physical body is still weak so it did stung only a bit as the other is also quite feeable when it comes to physicality
He sat beside him "I really don't know why you are so mad. Please tell me"
The other ignored him for a while then turned towards him
"Do you really not know?" He nodded as an answer

"Well do you remember when you jumped in the water?"
"Yes"
"When I got too close to the fire so you pushed me away lightly and switched our positions?"
"Of course"
"Then why are you still asking!"
"I really don't understand. Don't hide on the pillows and tell me why"
"..are you pouting?"
"I'm not."
"You are."
"Shut up, old man!"
"The reason why is because you don't care!"
"About what? Who?"
"About you! Yourself! You just jumped to the water without even thinking and even pushed me away from the fire just to switch our positions!"
"But I'm a dragon-"
"And? So what! I care about you! I don't want anything to happen to you!"
"What? I won't easily die just like that you know?"
"Right, because living is the best right?"
"Exactly"
"Still..I don't want anything to happen to you. You're just so dense, don't you see I care?"
"I do"
"Then why do you still do it? I would like it much more if you just let me"
"I can't do that"
"I have the Thames power-"
"Still. I would rather be the one instead"
They both talked it through
And in the end did made up.
Well it did took a whole hour of trying to understand one another.
Cale trying to show KRS that he loves him in a way of saying he's a dense idiot and Kim Rok Soo trying to make Cale understand how he cares for him a lot and doesn't wanna see him hurt even from a paper cut just in the way of taking him to his favorite restaurant for dinner in their original apperance then straining himself later to make all of those people (and others) who saw a dragon and their missing young master for over 3 years walking together to a small restaurant.
Well it was what Ruksoo told the red head but he insisted and wanted to eat the dragons cooking instead of a restaurants
"I like your cooking more hyung. Please make Kimchi"
It did infact made the korean at heart smile
And yes they did cuddle again and talked the whole thing again later which became an inside joke between them both.
"When both sacrificial idiots meet" "Aigoo, what a chore" "They are so dense yet smart at the same time" The three gods complained
Another day another episode in the life of Cale and Kim Rok Soo
They all just relaxed as the two talk out their sacrificial tendencies to each other again before calling it a day.
Meanwhile God of Despair is still sealed but tighter than before because Death came to taunt him yesterday with how his stupid saint almost left her two sons in danger.
"If your saint even hurt a strand of hair of Cale and Rok Soo, I will murder you and end your whole life as a God. I will be your reason of despair so don't even try."
Despair shivered at the thought and gave an oracle to his saint to sray hidden for now specially from death.
The saints happily did as it was the oracle they were waiting for since last year their god sent one
(Death likes to threaten and play with Despair so it always ends up with the God to send an oracle warning them to stay away from people for now)
Really. The Goddess of Death is the despair of everyones life. Well the despair of Despairs life thats for sure.
