A Helping Hand 2: a sonadow fanfic

Shadow's Amusement

Shadow jumps awake to his alarm blaring in his ears

[Shadow's Mind]
Ah shit I gotta go quick

Shadow speeds to the canteen of the Team Dark base

He grabs a bag of coffee beats and tears it open with one of his sharp claws

He dumps a handful of the coffee beans in his mouth and takes a tea pot full of hot water off of a burner taking a swig of it to wash down the beans

[Rouge]
Woah, someone's in a hurry today

Shadow whips his head around to Rouge sitting at a canteen table not noticing her in the first place

[Shadow]
When did you get here?

[Rouge]
Before you came running in

[Shadow]
Ah, well, I gotta go so you take care bye

Shadow speeds off twice as fast making a few napkins fly in the air

He arrives at Sonic's front door and walks up to it

He rings the doorbell and waits a few seconds

He perks up and straightens his posture about to great Sonic as he hears his footsteps getting closer but then he realizes

[Shadow]
SHIT

Sonic opens the door seeing Shadow out of breath wheezing and panting

[Shadow]
I GOT THHEEEEEEEE I GOT THE SHOOOO I GOTDDHSHEWSSSsSsAsSA

[Sonic]
You good man?

Sonic looks at Shadow with a wildly concerned look

Shadow takes a few deep breaths before speaking again

[Shadow]
Yes I'm fine, I have the shoes, replaced the strings with a velcro strap because I know you're way too impatient to tie shoes

Shadow hands Sonic black shoes with blue outlines

Sonic takes the shoes and slips them on

He hops around in them getting a feel of the shoes

[Sonic]
Well, I admit they're really comfortable, I'll still have to think on the look though

[Shadow]
yeah no problem, if you don't like the paint job I can change it

[Sonic]
Yeah may-

While Sonic's eyes wander they get caught on Shadow's shoes

He sees Shadow wearing blue shoes with a black outline

He spends a minute in silence thinking until it clicks that Shadow painted a second pair of shoes to match with his

[Shadow]
You good?

[Sonic]
You know what I change my mind I love these fucking shoes

Shadow looks taken aback by the response but after a moment he smiles
