Shadow quickly steps to his feet reaching for Sonic

Metal Sonic rockets through the base wall dragging Sonic away as Shadow swipes for his arm missing it

Oh I forgot Metal is always with Eggman, I'll call my plane, prepare to go in about 10 seconds

Shadow shoots through the wall like a lightning bolt

Within a few seconds he breaks the sound barrier entering mach 2 speed

Metal leads Shadow through all types of terrain trying to shake him but Shadow stays consistently on his tail

Metal ducks through buildings in the city

Shadow jumps from rooftop to rooftop to follow

Metal flies through tundra caves

Shadow melts the ice as he blazes through them

Shadow pulls out his phone dialing someone's number

ROUGE I NEED YOUR HELP AND I WILL PAY ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR IT

It sounds urgent and the fact that you called me at all is scary enough so this one's the house, start talking

Metal has Sonic and he's taking him somewhere, I'm not sure where but he's trying to shake me off his tail, I can't catch up to him but I'm keeping him in sight, can you cut him off for me?

He's headed towards the steam craters, I'd say 5 minutes at the most before he's there

Shadow hangs up trying to gain as much speed as he can

They start to bolt through the steam vent ravine

A stray bullet comes out of nowhere striking Metals jet engine leaving him stuck in a hover

Rouge sits atop the ravine

Shadow shoots a quick two fingered solute as a thank you

Rouge does the same in return

Shadow stops at the edge of a magma pit

[Shadow]
GIVE HIM BACK METAL

Metal holds his sharp claw like fingers up to Sonic's throat

[Shadow]

Metal presses his claw against Sonic's throat

[Shadow's Mind]

Everyone stops as they hear a loud sound

They see Tails's plane fly past them and make a bumpy landing as the engines stop

Metal looks confused but turns back around continuing to put more pressure onto the hedgehogs throat

Metal whips his head back around

Tails points a makeshift gun he made out of plane parts at Metal

He furrows his eyes and glares at metal with a focused expression

It only takes one bullet

Metal forms the best sentence he can from his beeps and other computer sounds

Tails chambers a shot

Tails points his makeshift pistol at Metals foot taking out his hover capabilities

Metal grabs Tails by the leg as the 3 plummet to the magma pit

Shadow shoots across causing a ghost of wind to carry a few pebbles and dust particles towards him

He grabs them out of the air slamming to the ground on the other side of the magma pit

He sits up taking in a big gasp of panic

He hastily moves to Sonic's Side with Tails

[Shadow]
Sonic are you alright?!

Sonic looks dumbfounded by his friends concern

[Sonic]
Yeah?

[Shadow]
Okay Tails you stay with Sonic I'll be back

[Tails]
Got it

Tails grabs medical tape from his tails and starts wrapping Sonic's injuries

Shadow stomps his way over to Metal

Metal looks up at Shadow with panicked digital eyes

Shadow grabs Metal by one of his legs and starts dragging him to a dark cave
