I sat with Veronica during lunch in our normal spot.
"Hey! Happy birthday!" V said.
"Thanks Veronica, I'm glad we're talking again." I say.
"You must have heard Sweet Pea is getting a trailer he's trying to get emancipated." V laughed.
"I'm sorry V."
She slid a present towards me.
"Well anyways a present for my bestie."
"Thanks V."
"Okay well I have to go but I hope you like it." V got up.
"Bye."
I walked to halls looking for Toni.
"Toni I know mom gave you my stuff." I came up to her.
"Yeah why? Do you need something?" She looked.
"My meds. I'm starting to hurt." I groaned.
"Here! You should warn me before you start feeling the pain." Toni said.
"Yeah yeah."
Time had gone by and I was still in pain so I decided to call my mom.
"Mom, yeah I did. Same amount as usual." I said through the phone. "Yeah I can still feel it. No it's not. Okay yeah I will."
I hung up. Sweet pea came over.
"Betts are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, my meds just aren't working." I groaned.
"What do you mean they aren't working?" Sp said.
"I took some earlier but I can still feel pain."
"I can drive you home."
"No I'm fine, don't worry about it."
"Last time you said you were fine, you had a seizure." He said.
"I really am fine, just don't lean or touch me."
"Can I at least get the nurse for you?"
"No just stay with me."
He grabbed my hand.
"Always."
