Recap Liam got a phone call.
" hello?" Liam asked
" hello Liam, it's Nicola, I was wondering if you could take a sibling set? It's really just for a few days to a week, while we find a more permanent
Place" Nicola says softly
" Nicola I love you dearly, I know you mean well by this. But I just took in four kids. I went from dad of 3, to dad of 7. I can't do this. I know my foster license is open, but that doesn't mean I'm ready for more" Liam says
" Liam I would only ask you if I was certain you could handle it. You know foster homes are in short supply, I would take them, but since I am their social worker, I legally can't, but I can take other children. It's literally like a week or less" Nicola begs.
Just then before Liam can respond.
" dad I was like listening in, Louis asked for some more apple juice. But dad I think you should say yes. We have more than enough love and everything to go around" Zayn says " you can change their lives like you did Noah, Niall, Nadine, and Noelle" he adds
" Zayn do you really think so? I value your option so much" says Liam
" yes dad I do think so" Zayn says " we should do this" he adds
" is that a yes Liam? I heard Zayn" Nicola says and chuckles
" alright before I say yes. How old are they? How many?" Asked Liam
" a teenager boy 15, and a preteen 11."' Nicola says
" when do you need me to pick them up?" Asked Liam
" tomorrow would be good, they can stay with me for the night." Says Nicola
" dad it's the right decision" Zayn says
" alright, that gives me time to set up beds. I'll take them" Liam says
" thank you Liam. This really means a lot to me" says Nicola says
" I know, love you" Liam says
" love you too" Nicola says and hangs up.
" alright Zayn, you ready to help me set up when they fall asleep?" Liam says " thank you for helping with the decision" he adds
" you're welcome dad, anything I can do" Zayn says " and yes sir will be" he adds
" wonderful" Liam says as they go back to finish the movie.
After the movie is over. Noelle, Nadine, Niall, Louis, and Harry are all asleep. Noah isn't asleep yet. But he's half in and out.
Liam covers up all of the kids. And then him and Zayn disappear.
" dad the teenage boy can share a room with me" Zayn says
" I appreciate that Zayn. I do." Liam says " so we have the extra beds in the garage, so let's get them and build them" he adds
So Liam and Zayn go and get the extra bed, they are half built.
They built one in Zayn room, after moving furniture. Then they move the beds around in the girls room, and make room for the other bed.
Then they get the extra bedding from the closets and put them on the beds.
Liam has Zayn go into the boxes labeled, new foster children, first things.
Zayn pulls out a stuffed animal and puts it on the little girls bed. And puts a cool pillow on the boys bed. Zayn grabs two nice throw blankets for each bed. He also pulls out a size ten girls pajamas, lays it on the bed, and a mens medium pajamas and lays it on his bed. He grabs two different snacks and lays it on the bed. And added to the girls bed is a doll, coloring book and crayons.
" dad, can I ask you something?" Asked Zayn
" sure bud, what is it?" Asked Liam
" are you adopting? It just I don't want to see them go, but I know it was only temporary" says Zayn sheeply
" well bud, I was going to have the conversation with you guys tomorrow or the next. But I am not sending them away, and will be filling for adoption for all four of them. I know it was be an adjustment, but I can't bare to see them in foster care still. They deserve a family and will fit right in" Liam says
" dad thank you, I know it's a lot. But we have this. I never did think that our family was done growing after Harry and Louis though, if I'm being honest dad" Zayn says
" deep down I didn't either" Liam says with a smile
Zayn grabs toothbrushes for each kiddo, and Liam grabs them a cup just for them. You see something they've learned with foster children. If you give them something that's just for them, they will appreciate it, and feel more welcomed.
They do a quick cleaning of the house as well, setting everything up. Then they decide to go to sleep or rather, go back to the family room, and have a family sleep over in there since the littles are already there. And Liam doesn't want to be sleeping on a different level than his kids.
THE NEXT DAY
They are eating breakfast.
" alright kiddos, Quinn is going to come and keep an eye on you guys for a while okay? While daddy and Zayn go to an appointment. Now you need to listen to Quinn and you need to listen to Noah or there will be major consequences is that understand? That means I will spank you bottoms" Liam says
" now Noah I know you could stay with them, but I'm sure you know foster care laws and you can't be alone with them" he adds
" yes sir I know" Noah says
" yes sir" the rest of the kiddos say
" daddy, where ya going?" Louis asked
" that's what I was coming to next, me and Zayn are going to meet Nicola. She wants us to meet a sibling set in need of a temporary home. We are foster license for temporary placements. They are 15 and 11. They will probably be staying with us for a bit" Liam says softly and then waits for the outburst.
" daddy! I don't want more kids! I barely want the ones we have! Say no! Don't go! No more! I don't want it!" Louis yells, and begins his famous Louis tantrum.
" dad seriously, two more? We already have seven" Harry said major attitude
" Liam, I'm glad there is still foster parents like you out there, who foster and are actually good to kids, they will be blessed to have you" Noah says
" can you not? We just got here, and now more Kids?" Nadine says full of attitude.
" that sounds good" Niall says
" now look this isn't up for discussion, there isn't enough foster homes for children, so they need families like us, who can foster. I know it's hard, but we are needed, it's my calling. They are coming and we will be nice or you get spanked end of discussion" Liam says
" Louis William you will stop the tantrum right now or you'll have another sore bottom" he adds stern as he delivers 7 hard smacks to his bottom. Now Louis was just spanked yesterday, so it was still tender, so the affect is there.
" yes sir" the children say as they finish their breakfast.
After breakfast, the children go to get dressed, brush teeth and do their hair.
Then Quinn comes. So Zayn and Liam leave.
