♡ | MARINA & AND THE DIAMONDS | ♡ CHAPTER 9

Start from the beginning

I was looking down in all I see

Painted faces, fill the places I can't reach

You know that I could use somebody, yeah

You know that I could use somebody, yeah-yeah-yeah."

Harry's raspy tone suited the first verse perfectly. His deep voice still rang through my ears, as Louis took the next verse.

Wait...Where did he come from?

" Someone like you, and all you know, and how you speak

Countless lovers undercover on the streets

You know that I could use somebody, yeah

You know that I could use somebody, yeah-yeah

Someone like you."

Louis' verse was also incredible. The tone of his voice surprised me. After finishing his verse he glared at me and I looked away feeling uncomfortable.

They sang the chorus together and then Niall's sweet voice captured my attention:

"Off in the night while you live it up, I'm off to sleep

Waging wars to shape, the poet and the beat

Well I hope it's going to make you notice

Well I hope it's going to make you notice

Someone like me."

Niall winked at me and I laughed at his flirtatious gesture. Then, my attention was turned to Liam:

" I'm ready now, I'm ready now,

I'm ready now, I'm ready now."

Liam also had a smooth tone. I didn't get to hear as much as I'd like from him.

And Zayn didn't get a proper solo.

I faced my attention back to Harry as he sang closed the song:

"I've been roaming around, always looking down in all I see.."

I clapped, showing how impressed I was.

" That was really impressive. You guys truly did that song justice." I gushed.

Louis made a disapproving sound and He didn't look happy.

I didn't understand why he despised me so much.

"Harry, maybe I should go." I said trying to escape Louis' ice-cold glare.

" No, baby! I want you to stay with me." Harry insisted.

" She's right, Harry. We have a lot to go over and practice. We need to focus." Louis spoke up.

God, he does hate me. He wants me to leave.

I knew Harry saw the tension in my eyes when he took my aside and away from the boys.

" Marina, what's the matter?" Harry spoke softly.

I shook my head, trying to avoid confrontation.

" Tell me." He pushed.

" I don't think Louis likes me. I think he rather I left." I confessed.

"Well, I beg to differ and I don't care who does and doesn't want you here. Because you're my girl and you stay with me." Harry spoke proudly.

I wanted to squeeze his cheeks but, this conversation was too serious.

So, I settled for brushing his cheek.

Harry was such a sweetheart, sometimes domineering but I loved that side of him. I loved all of his shades.

"I have a meeting with my manager about my tour. I have to leave eventually." I cajoled him.

" Why won't you just stay? If Louis gives you any more trouble, I'll have his ass."

Harry's unexpected comment made me laugh blatantly.

" I honestly have to go. I wish I could stay and don't give anyone a hard time, I'm just mending a broken ego."

Harry smiled and ran his fingers through his lush hair.

" Have your phone on you at all times, Is that clear?" he said domineering as ever.

I nodded. And kissed reached up to kiss his cheek.

I then, made my way over to Niall and surprised him with a hug.

" I have to go." I spoke to him.

" No, stay! c'mon just a while longer." He suggested.

I shook my head.

" I can't I have a meeting later

on. I'll text you, okay?" He nodded and we hugged once more.

After sharing a friendly hug with all the boys, I reached Louis.

As I made the bold move of approaching him, he walked away oblivious to my attempt

I dropped my arms and made my way over to Harry.

" See I told you." I said wondering if he noticed Louis' cold shoulder towards me.

" Whoever doesn't like my baby, is delusional or obtuse." Harry comforted me with his kind words.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him intensely.

" Goodbye, Darling." I purred.

" Bye Baby." Harry smiled and waved.

Harry looked so young and cute. I was so lucky. Harry was impeccable.

I couldn't even begin to describe my fortune.

Things were going so well with Harry.

But, we we're both going on tour.

I didn't want a long-distance relationship with Harry.

I couldn't bare it .

I wanted him all to myself.

For the first time the selfishness I had grown accustom to;

felt outlandish.
