I was sitting at the benches in the middle of the hallway finishing up my science homework when Principal Perry walked through the hallways using a microphone and speaker. "Morning, Germ Sacks."

All in all an average day for Mission Creek High.

"I know that you all have been complaining that the technology around here isn't quite-" She was cut off by microphone feed back, "isnt quite," more feedback, so she hit the microphone on her hand causing a high pitched sound to right out, hello headache central, "state of the art." Perry let out a giggle as if she didn't give half the student population hearing problems. "So thanks to yours truly, we're getting cutting edge equipment for the whole school to enjoy." She gave the microphone to her assistant and waved in two lunch ladies. "Jojo, Betty, roll it like it's hot."

The ladies rolled in a cart that was covered in a grey tarp.

If you squint it rhymes. Scouts honor.

"Behold! Mission Creek High's brand new Media Center!" The lunch ladies pulled back the sheet to reveal an old box tv.

"I don't think you can call it technology if you have to change the channels with pliers." Leo spoke up giving the tv an once over.

"Yeah that hasn't been new tech since Tom Cruise was in The Outsiders." I added dryly.

"Why do I smell formaldehyde?" Chase asked passively.

"Question: what's formaldehyde?" I raised my hand looking towards Chase.

"A colorless gas that can be poisonous to humans." He answered before turning back to Perry and raising his eyebrows expectantly.

"'Cause I found it on a curb outside the morgue. I'm getting all my Christmas presents there too. Aunt Dottie's getting sheets!" Perry let our her demon giggle again.

"Follow up question: do you hate Aunt Dottie?" Chase held up a hand to cut me off and walked towards the tv.

"How is this thing new?"

"New to you lady face."  Principal Perry walked out the door with the extension cord to plug it it. "Okay, let's fire up the Media Center." When she plugged it in the cord sparked and the tv started smoking and the power went out. I let out a small snort.

"That's me when submerged in water." I joked. Perry sent me a look and I stopped laughing, "because, I'm smokin, not because I can control electricity. That would be crazy."

"Yeah, Willow can't control electricity." Leo agreed hastily with wide eyes.

"Electricity? Willow can't even pass chemistry." Chase added with a snort.

"Low blow, William. Low blow."

"Minor set back." Perry amended, ignoring our bickering. "For the record, you al look much better in this light."
