Chapter 2

After he says that it makes me blush because it was really sweet, but I'm still really upset inside. After all the stress of that night I fall asleep which I know my parents won't care that I was over Mark's house. "Good morning," Mark yells which makes me fall off the bed. "You suck you know that," I say while Mark helps me up off the floor. Once we get to the school I see Grace and Jake are making out. Mark is about to go over and tell off Jake but I tell him not to. Even though I truly want him to. "Hold my hand," Mark says trying to get his fingers into mine. "What why?" "Because it will hopefully make Jake mad." "Oh okay then." But even after we pass Jake and Grace we are still holding hands. It felt normal to me because we used to do it all the time. We did that a lot when we were about twelve and thirteen years old and back then I had a huge crush on him. But I don't know what happened to those feelings.

Mark's POV

I can't help myself I have to look into Lily's beautiful brown eyes. I would never say anything to her but I have liked her more than a friend for at least five years now. Then that stupid ugly Jake comes in and breaks her heart. When I hug her I don't ever want to let go. Most of my friends say that she has a great ass and that I'm lucky, but then I yell at them because I don't want people talking about her. She is to good of a person to be talked about. All every guy cares about with her is her ass except me I like her for her. Well okay the ass is a plus but I liked her before she got that awesome ass. "Hello Earth to planet Mark are you okay?" Lily is waving her hand side to side in front of my face. "I'm fine just thinking that's all" What I really want to say is I was thinking of you and how much I love you. Yeah like I would ever tell her that she would think I'm weird and never talk to me again. I definitely didn't want that at all. Then in the corner of my eye I see Jake. "Hey Lily I will see you third period I have to go really quick." Then I start to follow Jake and he goes into the guy's locker room. I push Jake up to a locker and start to yell "Why did you do that to Lily?" "Get off me Mark," Jake says while pushing me off of him. "I liked Lily but Grace was just so hot and your little Lily wasn't good enough." After hearing him say Lily wasn't good enough I punch him right in the mouth. Blood was dripping from Jake's lip and then soon we were punching one another.

Lily's POV

Where is Mark it is third period and he the bell is about to ring I think to myself. All a sudden I feel arms rapped around my waist. "Guess who," Mark whisper's in my ear. "What's wrong with your mouth?" "Ohhhh ummm Jake and I kinda sorta got into a fight in the guy's locker room, and he has a bloody mouth too.... It is great." "How did you guys get into a fight," I reply. "Well he said you weren't good enough for him so I punched him," Mark said all happy. I start laughing then I say "You didn't have to do that really I don't care about him at all anymore." "Sooooo when you text me yesterday you said you got something what did you get?" "Ohhh yeah I got me and you concert tickets to see The Gemilies," Mark says. "Oh my gosh you are kidding me they are my favorite band you are awesome Mark!" "Ok well my mom called your mom and you are staying at our home over night and we are picking you up around nine p.m. and then my mom is dropping us off at the concert."
