Jack Crawford stood motionless for few seconds before speaking up

"Hannibal lecter escaped tonight "

Will kept his face deprived of any emotion and spoke in a shaky but neutral tone
"any.......any leads? "

"No . The guards were Drugged and the cameras were tampered with . No evidence was left behind. "

Will nodded shakilngly " why are you here Jack? "

"As per your history with Doctor Lecter you can be in danger or......"
"Or his accomplish ?" will asked with fake anger and irritation
Jack nodded "we need to search your house will . Step back ."

Will snarled " do you have a search warrant?"

"Yes I do . That's why it took us this long time to bust at your house "

Will reluctantly let Jack and the officers inside and took a seat on the chair.

The dogs obediently stood around the room as the officers searched the whole house. Will nervously avoided any eye contact which could be mistaken for his antisocial behaviour which now he was greatful about .

Jack stood watching over him like a hawk
"So I see you have been working well with your life here will. Your home looks very ....homey."

"Yes which by the way your officers are tearing through right now "will remarked

" they will set things right before they go ."

"It's OK you do have a serial killer to catch ."

"Why aren't you worried will ? Alana is having a hysterical fit in the hospital"

Will smirked inwardly 'of course she is and she will have some other worst things too in the future 'he thought

"Cause I know hannibal " Will said trying to play his card right "he must have escaped the country already. He is an intelligent psychopath . He knows he is wanted in this country and he is not gonna spend his time roaming around here. I suggest you try Italy florence again .that seems to be his hunting ground where he is safe" will licked his lips hoping that Jack would buy it.

Jack looked deep in concentration before speaking up " Your right he is too much in risk at this country . Its been nearly three hours of his escape so by now he must be already off to foreign lands. "With slight hesitation he asked Will " are you joining us?"

"No nope no way in hell am i getting in this crap again" Will said defensively

"Will I need your min-"

"Jack the best thing I have learned in this life is not to poke the beast . And I am not gonna willingly wake into its mouth after......After......everything......"

Will faked a shudder and gently caressed the smile on his abdomen just to give the impression of being haunted by the past.

Which surprisingly worked on Jack. The man must have some guilt after dragging will into all those cases in the past and nearly getting him killed in several occasions. Jack just stands there lost in his thoughts as the officers above search every corner of his rooms but no one searched the they were In yet. Will nervously looked around as Jack walked closer and closer to the basement door .

Would he feel the door beneath the carpets ? Would he feel the hollowness of the door? Did he ever mentioned the secret basement to Jack before? Will wondered frantically just as buster walked causally and sat on top of the door yawned and put his head down

Will smiled 'good intelligent boy ' he thought as Jack lost interest and walked away from the area . Soon the officers came down without any proof or evidence. Jack nodded them to go out and turned towards will

"You know where to find me if you get any information or want to help don't you "

"Yes Jack I do "

"Be safe will " Jack said grimly

" I have a gun and a rifle Jack if that crazy shows up I will blow his freaking brains out " will said mustering all anger and venom in his voice

Jack nodded approvingly and left .

It took them few minutes to completely leave wills property . After the noise of the vehicles faded away will finally let a sign of relief

"Jeasus freaking christ " he whispered and as if on cue his phone rang.

"Is Hannibal alright . Did something happen ."Chiyoh asked through the phone

"Yes yes he is fine they just left . I suggest you don't call us for few weeks time."

"Alright but if you need me you cal me immediately "

"Yea yea OK " will nodded as he lifted the carpet and opened the door . The room was dimly lit but he could clearly see hannibal and Winston. Hannibal had seemed to fall asleep with Winston on his arms. Seeing hannibal so vulnerable and small made his heart ache for the older man

"You...you Will the care of him won't you ?" Chiyoh asked with slight hesitation

Will replied softly " Always "
