As I watched on, helplessly
While unwanted tears bled from my eyes

It now lazily sprawled on the floor
Looking as comely as ever; I etched a frown
Splashes of water began to surround it

Floating in my despondent mind
Despair has clouded my vision with sorrow
It will happen again
The addle of the velvet pain proved nothing
Regret would only follow; how idle
Tomorrow would just be another day of pretence
The knife will plunge again
