It was a good thing Five was able to stop her by taking her hand in his while he took glances of the briefcase, ready to leave the place. The prevention was something they both had agreed to back in Dallas. When they had the slightest time talking to each other. Y/N herself proposed that idea of stopping. So instead, she just pressed her lips shut and hydrated it with a rundown of her tongue.
"Claim?" Allison felt ridiculed, "Look, Five, what the hell is going on?" She wasn't able to have the longest patience anymore. This was mainly because she was supposed to look for her daughter. Instead, they're faced with this issue.
"I don't know yet, but it's concerning." Number Five admittedly responded to Allison.
The leader of the Sparrow Academy, Marcus, was just as confused. But he knew to himself that he shouldn't attack until he heard the Umbrellas' side of the story. "Is he telling the truth?"
"Not the part about us being perfidious." Vanya chimed. The White Violin was trying to recover whatever it is that they think of them already.
"And I didn't claim to be his kid." Y/N followed.
"That, I can agree on." Reginald once again piped up to the conversation, referring to Y/N's remark. "However, there was a part of me that had considered to scout for you and adopt you to be a sparrow. It had only come to my senses that it would not be the brightest endeavor."
This made Y/N, and the rest of the people in the Academy, feel boggled. "Say what now?" She questioned.
Sir Hargreeves decided to end his elaboration about that subject right then and there. "Yeah, well, it's a good thing that you didn't. Because then, I would lose my best friend." Klaus remarked as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "And we're amateur-fidous, at best." It's not that Y/N was upset about not making the cut. She really was just that surprised that even she doesn't know what it means.
"But we are his children. This is our house." Vanya continued to defend their family name calmly and rationally.
Luther came to agree with his adoptive sibling. "Yeah, yeah. Uh... We grew up here." Though the stumbled words made it seem like he was telling lies.
This ended up with the fourth Sparrow mocking the big guy. "Yeah, yeah. We grew up here." His imitation of Luther's deep voice left the Sparrows snickering. Alphonso's sense of humor instantly didn't amuse Y/N.
This time, it was Sloane's turn to speak up. "I kind of think we would've noticed you." She replied to Luther in a logical way, but a nicer tone. And once the both of them met eyes with each other, Luther felt his heart skipping a beat.
"Hi." There wasn't a single drop of hesitance in Luther when he waltzed into Sloane's direction. "I'm Luther."
Most of them didn't notice, but their way of being subtle wasn't escaping Y/N. Not to mention, she can hear Sloane's thoughts screaming: Be cool, Sloane. He may be cute, but be cool.
The chemistry between was actually kind of nice, Y/N thought. She wasn't going to meddle with that.
"Okay, none of you belong here." The silence was cut into a millisecond by Allison.
" Oh! Well, then." Fei shot back with sarcasm, "I guess we'll just pack our bags and move out."
Christopher also attacked with his words. All Sparrows turned to him to listen what he has to say. Which made them laugh at the Umbrella Academy once more. "You slay me, Chris." Ben hollered.
"I don't know about you guys, but I am somewhat offended." Y/N admitted, sitting down on top of the sofa back. At the same time, she just pretended she understood what Christopher was saying.
