You look nice and harmless. You look like thousands within the system but your heart beats hard and fast like the drums filling your ears. Your wings are hidden beneath the uniform you wear since the school days. You come across a beggar and you know it could be you if you dared to protest, to show yourself. Meanwhile, your fire is burning piles of prejudices every second, your eyes are seeing through the lies spread among the others. You scratch every oxygen particle on art, any art...just to survive.
Author's note: in Ecology 'crypsis' is the ability of an organism to avoid observation or detection by other organisms. It may be either a predation strategy or an antipredator adaptation, and methods include camuflage, nocturnality, subterranean lifestyle, transparency and mimicry.
