The girl sat in a chair at the dining table in the largest cabin she'd seen here. The two men that saved her were speaking with an older man in the far corner of the open space. The older of the two men from earlier came over to her holding a thick blanket. He wrapped it around her and placed a steaming cup of tea in front of her on the table. She didn't know it, but the tea wasn't your average tea. This tea would confirm their theories on who she is and why she's here.
She took a sip of tea and smiled at it's warmth. She suddenly felt stronger, she wasn't as cold as she were a few minutes go. Her skin tingled and her stomach was filled with a burning heat. "What's happening to me? This tea, it isn't just tea. What's in it?"
"All of your questions will be answered, but it will take time. For now I can tell you a few things. This land is home to werewolves. Not all wolves are accepting of humans, because we haven't had one here in an extremely long time. Humans can't survive in this land."
"Am I going to die?" A look of fear fell to her face.
"No Myalis, if I'm correct, I think you are all that can save us from whatever evil is coming to us. You are safe. Keep drinking this tea, there is a full pot of it over the fire finishing up. I will see you in a little while. My sister Valaria will come see you soon. She will explain more to you."
"Baukin... Thank you..."
"Why are you thanking me?"
"If it weren't for you and your brother, I'd be dead. So, thank you. If I am what this place needs, then I owe you my help."
"I just did what was right, you don't owe me anything, but your help would be greatly appreciated." He smiled and walked away.
She sat there a while, drinking a second cup of this tea. She felt so strong and energized. She felt she could do anything. She looked to the door as a woman comes in. She placed a piece of meat and a small bowl of berries in front of her. "My name is Valaria, first rule, you need to stay healthy, in the way this land calls for. This tea, the berries and meat is what will keep you healthiest. Also broth is a great option for you."
"I don't understand any of this. Where I am or how I got here. I don't remember anything from before I got here. All I know is my name. What does this all mean?"
"Myalis, all you need to know right now is that you are very special. All of your questions will be answered in due time. I will tell you that you must stay here. There is no way out of here. There is also no way in."
"Then how am I here?" How could she have gotten here if there's no way in? "This is all so confusing."
"I know this must be difficult, but you're destined to save us. Something big is going to happen. Something bad. We don't know when, or what will happen, but you are here for a reason Myalis." She looked into the eyes of Valaria, they were kind and caring, just like Baukin's and Feugus'.
Suddenly Myalis felt a painin her stomach, she heard a ringing sound in her head. She collapsed to a kneeling position on the floor, images were running through her mind. "What's happening to me?!"
"Baukin!" Valaria yelled to her brother, him and the older man ran in. "It's happening!"
Baukin knelt beside Myalis, his hand on her shoulder. "It hurts!" Myalis cried out in pain.
"What do you see Myalis?" Baukin questioned.
"Darkness... Men, but not like you... Shadows..." Suddenly she felt the most extreme pain throughout her entire body, she clenched all of her muscles and screamed. Her eyes closed and all went dark as she passed out in Baukin's arms.
*** Some Time Later ***
Her eyes opened as she jumped to a seated position. She was in a room, an office maybe, there was a large couch which she was on, a desk and a wall of book shelves. She looked to the corner of the room where Baukin was standing from a chair.
He walked over to her and handed her the same tea as before. She gladly took the tea and started sipping the warmth that seemed to heal and strengthen her. "Baukin, I need answers. What is going on?"
"Given the fact that you're here, and what you saw, legends say we will have a great war. The Dark Warriors, the shadows, they are going to try to kill all of us and take this land. Legends say that we only have one hope to survive, and that's you."
