"That is a long story for another day. I'd rather not say anything and risk causing drama, this is Erica and Beckett's big day." I comment.

Janae nods in agreement and we all continue watching the Dancers. We then hear Amanda announce Beckett. "Please welcome Beckett Hanson!"

We all cheer, Nick and Beckett's group the loudest. He walks out and performs a stunning contemporary piece, which leaves the entire room mesmerised. When the song ends and the performance is over, we all cheer loudly once again and he smiles walking off stage.

"And now please welcome Erica Owens!" Amanda introduce and my friends and I all stand up cheering loudly.

"Lets go Ric!" Aidan shouts at the top of his lungs, which causes Erica to laugh slightly. And just like that, the music starts and Erica knocks it out of the park with her own Contemporary piece. I look around and see her parents are nowhere to be seen, so lean over to Delilah;

"Did Mr and Mrs Owens not show up?" I whisper.

Delilah shakes her head. "Don't think so, I haven't seen them."

"Unbelievable." I huff.

When the show is over, I grab April's hand and start walking outside with my friends. As we make our way into the hallway, Erica is standing there talking to Amanda when she spots us. "How was I?" She asks.

"You were amazing!" I exclaim, hugging her.

"You looked so pretty Erica." April comments.

Erica picks April up and hugs her, "Thanks Little Lawrence. Thank you for coming to watch and cheer me on!"

"I think this calls for celebration. I vote Ice Cream!" Matteo suggests.

"Ice cream, ice cream! Kat can we get some?" April pleads which makes everyone laugh.

"Alright, we'll get some Ice Cream, but we have to wait until Erica is already to go, she needs to talk to some people and get changed." I explain.

We all make our way outside to our cars and wait patiently for Erica. As we're talking, Janae and the rest of her group minus Beckett approach us, Axel included who I didn't even notice inside. "So you guys doing much for the rest of the day?" Lucas asks.

"We're about to head for Ice Cream." Matteo responds.

"I'm getting Chocolate Chip." April announces.

This causes everyone to laugh, even Axel cracks a smile. "Of course you are, you never get anything else." I remark.

"It's better than that Black Forest Ice Cream you get." April sasses.

"How would you know, you've never even tried it?" I sass back and we both poke our tongues out at each other.

Separate conversations break out and April runs off and jumps on Nick's back who plays Aeroplane with her to keep her entertained until Erica and Beckett arrive. "She's gotten big." Axel's voice speaks beside me.

"Time tends to do that." I comment.

"She must've been like 4 the last time I properly saw her." He adds.

"I know." I respond. "She doesn't remember you if that's what you're trying to ask. She asked about you for a couple months after we stopped being friends, but now she doesn't even mention your name."

"She seems close with your group." He comments.

I nod my head. "Yeah, they're all really close with her. They're like older brothers and sisters to her. They prefer her to me that's for sure."

Before the conversation can continue, Erica and Beckett join us. "So how'd it go?" Delilah asks.

"We've both been invited to New York to audition!" Erica exclaims.

Everyone cheers and we each give Erica and Beckett a hug. "Do you guys want to join us for Ice Cream?" Aidan asks Beckett and his friends.

Everyone agrees and we all get into our separate cars and drive to Lindy's Ice Cream Shop. Sitting down and joining two tables together to make one large one, we order our Ice Creams and talk about New York, Erica and Beck's dances and other random things.

When I next look at the time, it's almost 7 in the evening. "Well, as much as we're having fun, bean and I have to get home and ready for bed."

"Aww." April complains, however proceeds to yawn right after.

"I rest my case." I comment which makes everyone laugh. I hold out my hand and we wave goodbye to everyone, before jumping in the car and heading home.

"Kat?" April says from the backseat.

"Yeah bean?" I answer.

"Are mummy and daddy going to split up?" She asks.

This makes me sigh silently. "Well how would you feel if they did decide to split up?"

"I would be sad, but they're fighting all the time, maybe it would be better if they did." She comments.

"Well, I can't say if they will or not, but I do agree with you. But just because they're fighting and may not really like each other right now, that doesn't mean they don't love you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to them bean, don't you forget it either." I assure her.

"I love you Kat." She responds.

"Not as much as I love you bean." I add.
