After a falling out in Freshman year of High School, Kat Lawrence and Axel Jones who were once thick as thieves haven't spoken since. They've gone down their own paths, found new friends and new interests, they have different plans to what they once...

Holding April's hand, we walk into Lynnwood Dance Studio and see hundreds of people gathered around, most of them being parents and Dancers nervous for the Competition ahead. It seems the Juilliard scouts being here are making even the calmest of people nervous wrecks.
I usher April into the hall and we make our way to my group of friends, already seated. "Hey guys!" April exclaims when she sees them and runs over.
"Little Lawrence!" Aidan and Matteo both scream and each take turns throwing her in the air. Delilah smiles and pinches her cheeks, whilst Nick engulfs her in a bear hug. "How's our favourite member of the Lawrence fam?" Matteo asks.
"Hey!" I feign hurt and he just pokes his tongue out at me. I sit down and listen to April tell them all about her week at school and watch as they all listen intently and match her enthusiasm. I may be her only biological sibling, but through my friendships she gained 5 more siblings, I know I could trust any one of them with her life, as well as mine.
Amanda Shane, the Dance Director of the Studio makes her way out and welcomes everyone. "Hey everyone! It's so amazing to see you all here tonight to support our amazing local Dancers. And today is a particularly huge event, because we're honoured to welcome Jasmine Fielding and Andre Raymond from The Juilliard School in New York, lets give them a warm Lynnwood welcome!" She exclaims.
We all cheer as the two scouts stand and wave hello. "We have a jampacked show for you all, so sit back, enjoy and give a big round of applause for our talented Dancers. Starting us off is Katie Russo!" Amanda introduces and we all clap.
I didn't even realise Beckett's group of friends sitting right below us, until Janae turns and taps me. "Hey, sorry I didn't even notice you guys sitting there."
"Hey. We didn't notice you guys either. How's Beckett feeling?" I ask.
"Nervous. Erica?" She asks.
"Same." I answer.
April all the sudden appears at my side. "Hi." She waves.
"Hi cutie. What's your name?" Janae smiles.
"I'm April. I'm Kat's little sister." April introduces herself.
"Well what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Nice to meet you April, I'm Janae." Janae introduces herself and shakes April's hand.
"Janae's a pretty name too." April compliments.
"Thank you April." Janae responds and April then disappears back with Aidan. "She's adorable."
"Don't I know it. She's the nice one." I comment.
"You seem nice. Not at all how I thought you'd be after what Axel has said about you." Janae remarks. She seems nervous when realising what I said, "I didn't mean anything-"
"It's good." I cut her off. "I can only imagine the stories Axel has told you about me. We didn't exactly leave things on good terms, so."
She nods her head. "Why did you guys stop being friends?"
