𝚂𝚙𝚎𝚊𝚔 𝙽𝚘𝚠 | 𝙻𝚞𝚔𝚎 𝙿𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗

𝚇𝙸: 𝙽𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙷𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜

THE 4 GHOSTS POOFED INTO THE CROWDED GYM and were immediately blinded by bright lights and the sound of singing.

The 4 of them watched as a group of girls in brightly coloured wigs, singing a preppy pop song.

Olivia had to squint because the multicolored lights were so bright and flashing all over the place.

"Woah" the boys breathed as Olivia continued to squint.

This caused Julie to turn around at their voices, her eyes wide "what are you guys doing here?"

"We're here to watch you stick it to the man" Luke said as Reggie gazed at the girls performing in awe.

"Man i miss high school" he breathed but Olivia scoffed

"They kinda look like neon highlighters" she muttered causing Alex and Luke to snort.

Once the girls finish performing Flynn turns to Julie, telling her to go talk to her teacher, Olivia couldn't help but notice how nervous she looked and she was about to reassure her before Regiie spoke up

"What are you waiting for?" he asked

"Yeah i mean you look really nervous, like yack in the bowl nervous" Alex added as Olivia face palmed

"Oh so helpful guys" she sassed with a sickly smile

"I just dont think i had enough time to work on the song" Julie said with a frown.

Olivia and Luke exchanged glances before he turned to her

"We wouldn't have given you the song if we didn't think you would were gonna rock it" Luke said as Olivia nodded beside him

"Now there's a piano on that stage with your name on it" Olivia said with a smile pointing towards the stage and with that, Julie gave them a determined nod and made her way up the stage.

As Julie sat at the piano and started tentatively playing the beginning notes of the song, the crows were starting to file out and Julie shot the ghosts a nervous glance but they gave her encouraging nods, Luke mouthing the words "you got this".

Julie started playing more fluently, the melody of the song flowed through the air as Julie started to sing

"Sometimes i think i'm falling down, i wanna cry i'm calling out for one more try to feel alive." 

Julie sang the song beautifully, it seemed so easy for her and Olivia couldn't help but let pride bloom in her chest as she watched the girl.

As the song progressed, the crowd started coming back to watch her and Julie's voice got more and more confident.

"Together I think we can make it, come let's run!"

Oliva blinked and there they were. Luke, Reggie and Alex all on stage with their instruments performing with her, the crowd went wild.

They rushed to the stage at the sight of the guys playing.

Wait, they can see them, Olivia thought as she watched Julie sing with the guys wide eyed.

Julie seemed just as confused as her, Alex and Reggie exchanging shocked glances as Luke grinned in amazement at the crowd.

The boys played their hearts out as the crowd cheered them on

The song continued and Olivia watched nervously from the bleachers, Luke threw her a worried glance every now and then to make sure she's ok and she was terrified that she was  gonna poof on stage with them.

She wasn't far off.

Before she knew it, she was backstage of the performance hidden in the wings of the curtains.

All 4 of the on stage shot the girl a worried glance, they knew that she wasn't good with performing in front of a crowd.

Olivia felt dizzy, but as she felt her hands start to tremble she couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline.

She missed performing, but she wasn't ready yet.

But as she felt herself grab a discarded mic off a table she couldnt help but feel brave, she had to face her stupid fear eventually.

She nervously raised the mic to her lips and added a soft harmony to the verse, still hidden in the wings of the curtains

"And when I feel lost and alone, I know that I can make it home. Fight through the dark and find a spark."

Once they heard her voice, the boys and Julie turned to shoot her a grin but that just made the crows crane their heads towards the curtains, to try and see whose voice was now joining the band.

Even though Olivia was terrified of being seen she stood her ground, but the crowd couldn't see her since she was behind the curtain and that gave her some form of comfort.

The boys offered her encouraging smiles and she sang in confidence

The crowd was going nuts, they screamed and cheered at the band and the boys' hearts swelled.

They had all given up on ever playing music for people again but now their dreams were coming true once again, this time with Olivia by their side.

Luke's heart beat wildly as he played, not just because people could see them but Olivia was performing. Ok not really since she was still hidden, but she was still on the stage and letting people hear her voice.

He had never been prouder, or loved the girl more than he did right then.

"And rise, through the night. You and I , we will fight to shine together. Bright forever."

The band finished off strong and as Julie raised her fist in the air with a smile, the band and Olivia disappeared without a trace, leaving the crowd to wonder in mystery.
