you get on the bus and the only seat left was beside your enemy, y/p.

"oh dear god, no" you thought to yourself.

there's an old lady sitting on the other side of him and she just smiled at you.

"will you take a seat already." y/p said, annoyed.

you just rolled your eyes and sat down.

you two immediately started arguing and glaring at each other, like usual.

"oh to be in love again," the old lady said while smiling.

in unison, the both of you went "what?".

"we're not together," you said.

"oh that's a shame. i thought you two were a couple by the way you were looking at each other."

that shut the both of you up real quick. you waited until the old lady got down the bus before letting a small laugh.

"what's so funny?" y/p asked.

"us as a couple, i can't imagine it." you said with a straight face.

he crossed his arms and had an angry look but he didn't speak.

"are you ok?" you asked.

"we'd be a great couple, y/n." he said.

"i would pick any other guy in school before you." you immediately regret saying that when you saw his hurt expression.

the next day you walk in school when your best friend came running to you, "did you hear?"

you just stood there shocked because it seems like he was really serious about the conversation in the bus.
