"cmon guys, it could be fun" you told tatum and sid as you walked hand in hand with stu, "i mean, pathos could have it's perks" tatum agreed
"totally protected. yo, i am so buff, i got you covered, girl" stu said while he spun you around and dipped you as if you two were dancing
"come on, sid. for us?" you asked, "it could be fun" tatum agreed as you four stopped walking

"okay. whatever" sidney finally gave in, "yeah? nice" stu smiled, "cool, you guys bring food, all right?" stu said as you walked off with sid and tatum

"it's okay, you dork" you smiled before kissing him on the lips then walking back to sidney and tatum who waited for you
you, sid, and tate were sitting outside of tatum's house talking about the case of sidney's mother while waiting for dewey to give you girls a ride
"what if cotton weary is telling the truth? maybe... he was having an affair with your mom" tate told sid
"i mean, your dad was always outta town for business, maybe... maybe your mom was just a very unhappy woman" tatum suggested
"if... if they were having an affair, then how come cotton couldn't prove it in court?" sid asked
"well, you can't prove a rumor" you spoke "that's why it's a rumor" tatum added
"right, created by that little tabloid twit, gale weathers" sidney sighed
"it goes further back, sid" tatum said before taking a breath "there's been talk about other men" tatum added
"and you two believe it?" sid scoffed
"i'm not in this conversation" you defended yourself
"well... i mean, you can only hear that richard gere-gerbil story so many times before you have to start believing it" tatum said as sidney stood up and walked to the end of the porch
"i'm sorry" tatum apologized while standing up along with you
"you know, if i was wrong about cotton weary, then the killers still out there" sidney said
"don't go there, sid" you said while walking towards sidney with tatum behind you "you're starting to sound like wes carpenter flick or something" tatum said
"just... don't freak yourself out" you told her "exactly, we've got a long night ahead of us, okay?" tatum said, sidney just nodded at her two best friends
"let's boogie" tatum smiled

you and your best friends had just finished shopping when you decided that you wanted to go home and take a shower
"could you drop me off at home?" you asked dewey "what?" tatum asked "why?" sidney asked
"i don't think that's a good idea" dewey said after the girls' reaction
"i just wanna take a shower" you said "i'll be fine" you added
tatum sighed, giving in to her best friends dumb idea
"we better see your ass at the party" tatum said as you got out of dewey's car "you will" you smiled before entering your house

you hated that you didn't feel safe in the place you're supposed to but... you really wanted to take a shower
you slowly walked up the stairs in your house, remembering every detail of what happened the other night
you grabbed a sweater of stu's that you stole from him, some shorts, and a bra
you didn't put any effort into the outfit considering the party was gonna be at stu's house with not many people + stu is the only person you really cared about impressing
you got in the shower, already feeling weird about it, but shrugged it off and just thought you were getting paranoid
