Chapter | 1

Melanie's POV
I was woken up by little hands on my face & little grunting noises. I open my eyes & I see my beautiful baby, Aidan trying to crawl.
I sit up & grab Aidan in my arms. I look over & see Grayson peacefully sleeping next to me.
Grayson must have had troubles sleeping last night because he usually brings Aidan to our bed when he can't sleep. Aidan calms Grayson down when he's by our side.
I get up & carry Aidan back to his crib
I look at my phone & it's 7:34 a.m.
It was a Saturday morning & I remembered that Grayson works today around 9 a.m.
We were living in an apartment that Lisa & Sean; Grayson's parents have rented for us. They help us pay rent as long as we pay for food & other things for the house. Grayson & I have been living here ever since Aidan was born.
It was a big step for Grayson & I to move in together but this has made our relationship very serious. We are very, very committed to each other. And in most situations where a young teenage couple has a baby, the couple ends up breaking up; but I have been so lucky to not have that happen. Grayson loves me & I love him. I feel that having Aidan & the whole car crash incident that happened a while back ago has made us so much closer & in love.
As for school, Grayson & I are still trying so very hard to graduate this year. We have both decided not to go to college for the time being after high school because of Aidan. We want to be here for him as much as we can, especially now since he is a baby. It is hard to take care of Aidan while we are still in school but during school Lisa takes care of Aidan & right after school I pick him up.
I don't have a job because I need to take care of Aidan but Grayson got a job with his uncle about business. He might start a little business of his soon.
Sean & Lisa have been so supportive since Aidan was born. They have been too generous to help us take care of him & baby-sit him.
I wished my parents were supportive. Ever since I decided to move back to New Jersey & not give up Aidan for adoption, they haven't spoken to me. They haven't seen Aidan since I gave birth that day. My parents were so disappointed that I decided to keep him. They have shunned me & haven't tried to talk to me.
I have just been doing fine without them but I kinda wished they would be supportive especially since I am about to graduate. But there's nothing I can do now. I already have Aidan & I am in a serious relationship with Grayson.

I got up & started cleaning the house for a bit before Grayson & Aidan woke up. I took a quick shower afterwards & then went to breastfeed Aidan.
I put him back in his crib & went to the kitchen. I started on breakfast.
I made Aidan his oatmeal. And some eggs with bacon & toast for Grayson.
I could hear Aidan fussing from the baby monitor. I went back to our room only to find Grayson out of the shower getting ready to go to work.
"Good morning, my love." Grayson said as he rubbed his head with a towel.
I grabbed Aidan out of his crib & walked over to Grayson.
"Morning, babe." I said as I kissed him.
Grayson smiled as he put on a shirt.
I grabbed Aidan's toys & we all went to the kitchen to eat.
I watched Grayson play & feed Aidan.
It warmed my heart seeing how much Grayson has changed because of this little baby we call out son.
"So what are your plans for today, babe?" Grayson asked me as he gave me the spoon to feed Aidan.
"Well, I'm gonna do some laundry & then go visit Tati for a bit then go to Lisa's house. Aidan forgot some toys there & your dad misses him." I said with a smile.
Grayson nodded with a little smile.
I finished feeding Aidan & then Grayson was about to leave to work.
"Okay, well you both have a great day. I love you. See you guys later." Grayson said as he kissed me.
Aidan waved bye to Grayson.
Grayson kissed Aidan & then left.
I did laundry, cleaned up a bit around the apartment & played with Aidan.
Later that afternoon, I started getting Aidan dressed to go to Tati's house. We were going to have lunch at her house & just to catch up with her because ever since I gave birth to Aidan, I haven't spent time with her.
I didn't get a lot of classes with her this year but were both excited to graduate in a few weeks.
As soon as Aidan & I were dressed we headed out to my car & drove off to Tati's house.
