The matriarch of the current Clawthorne clan, Gwendolyn had sworn to try and cure the Owl Beast curse from Eda after finding out about its existence and for 30 years this paying less and less attention to Lilith, she tried.... And failed. After returning after Eda had been petrified, Gwendolyn met Luz and automatically assumed her as Eda's daughter, but that was also the day where she learned of Eda's fate and because of such, learning that something like a curse is part of Eda, allowing the two to reconcile once Eda was freed. ow in the current day, Eda and Gwen's relationship is still as strong as ever, the older woman fully embracing Luz, King, and the others and loving them as if they were truly born Clawthornes.
