The Darkhold's Grasp

Curled up in the back of Wanda's head was the Darkhold's corruption. It influenced her every move and slowly corrupted her from the inside out. But when Wanda met Natasha, cracks began to form in the web of deceit and paranoia. Seeing these cracks form scared the Darkhold, and it whispered in Wanda's mind, 

"She knows where your kids are."  Wanda's eyes dulled for a moment and glowed a dim red. She focused on Natasha and said frantically, 

"Nat, do you know where my kids are? I need to see them and make sure they're ok." Nat's face turned to confusion as she cocked her head slightly. She said, 

"Wanda, you don't have kids. What are you talking about?" At the mention of her kids not existing, Wanda's head filled with a horrible screeching sound and she clamped her hands down on her ears.

"No! You're wrong! They're alive somewhere and need their mom, so if you don't tell me where they are, I'll make you!" Wanda flung Nat through the portal and flew in after her. The Black Widow landed with a thud against a wall and Wanda towered over her. Natasha looked up with hurt eyes and yelled, 

"Wanda, you never had any kids! Vision died after Thanos ripped the Mind Stone and you became a recluse! Kids don't magically appear Wanda. Not even you can do that." The mention of her kids drove Wanda nearly insane. She picked up Natasha and dropped her on the altar in the middle of the room. Crimson energy began to fill up the room. Out of nowhere, Wong's whip wrapped itself around Wanda's wrist and wrenched her towards the cliff at the edge of the room. The monsters that had been patiently awaiting The Scarlet Witch's return roared in fury. The largest of the five grabbed Wong's whip and yanked him forward, sending him careening into a statue. While the largest was dealing with Wong, the other four looked back over the edge. A small dot appeared on the horizon, slowly growing larger. The monsters became curious at what was happening and peered out into the frozen landscape. Screaming across the sky, were the spirits of the damned. They latched onto each of the monsters face's and they gouged their eyes out. Dr. Strange flew in, flinging Wanda and Natasha back into the portal, and shutting it. He sighed and sat down. The souls of the damned were still flying around screaming, and he closed his eyes and ended his dream walk. On the other side of the portal, things were falling apart for Wanda Maximoff. Her connection to the Darkhold had been severed, and having the portal cut so abruptly was wreaking havoc on her energy. Scarlet fog was pooling beneath her body as she laid down on the cool asphalt. Surprisingly, Wanda began to cry. She sobbed and sobbed as he mind came to realization that she would never see her kids again, she would never feel their touch, and she probably wouldn't even be able to leave this god-forsaken universe. Next to her, Natasha Romanoff was hurt badly and barely held herself up. She pulled a Glock-18 out of her boot and pointed it at the Scarlet Witch.  To the her surprise, she began reading her Miranda Rights. 

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?"  Wanda just stared blankly. With tears still fresh in her eyes, she began to laugh. She laughed and laughed while Natasha just stood there and glared. Finally, Wanda calmed down and said, 

"Nat, we've just been thrown into another universe with practically no way back and you want to arrest me?" Nat lowered the gun a little bit, and tears welled to her eyes. 

"You don't understand Wanda. I've been alone for damn near a year. And then you show up talking about your kids and take me to another universe, where I almost die twice. If I can't arrest you Wanda, then I can't control anything about my life anymore." Wanda bowed her head and thought about the situation. How could she atone for her sins? She would never be able to forgive herself. She looked up and said, 

"So what now?"
