7 Seconds

For the beloved passion I wish for,
I have endured decent forbearance.

Perceiving you on that fussy route after the long-lived instance of my existence without you,
I saw the agelong movie of my life in those 3 seconds.

You and I made eye contact,
An interaction from afar was plenty for me to recall,

The first thing I comprehended was our giggle,

The first thing I saw in my psyche was us hugging and laughing,

The first thing I breathed in was your aroma,

The first thing I entangled was your sense of touch.

Even on that busy itinerant of us walking on the opposite sides,
Our eye contact brought hindmost memories of us in those 3 seconds.

I engaged 1 second overmuch to think of, what next?

I had 2 options, either break the eye contact and displace my way, forgetting I ever saw you,

Or to run toward you the instant and ask you where and how were you in the past years of our beingness.

I was confused. No! Why? I shouldn't be!

I have got no time to spare,
If I wait more, either you will leave or I will, eventually.

What should I do?

Without opining of the consequences,
I had altered my life provision,

As I traversed the road and sped toward you,

You halted at the instant when you saw me arriving,

I was blissful to see you grimacing,

Perchance, we both wished the unchanged life of us.

But... the realism moved me by astonishment,

When you held someone's hand in yours, shattering my heart into 896789261777192937 pieces.

There were more parts of my heart dispersed around which stayed uncounted, uninfluenced,

Messed up on the ground, sinking out of my body.

I blocked in between the road as she hugged you, and you hugged her back and kissed her cheek, still maintaining eye contact with me,

It was the agelong I had seen in your eyes when my emotions switched this utmost,

I was surprised at the first 3 seconds, confused at the second 1 second, happy at the third 1 second, and an emotional wreck at the fourth 2 seconds.

These 7 seconds were the long-lasting I awaited for you to make my existence wretched.
