Maybe in this season, dark and sentimental, I'm willing to admit
That I fell into an one-sided love, I could accept this defeat
But that part of me, crazy, kamikaze and hungry for anarchy
Still wants you to sell her your love cheap, maybe even for free.
Wants you to drunk-text her, to demonstrate to her mind
That she somehow matters, and didn't get left behind,
And she half-listens to all the conversation until she hears your name,
Swears to hate you entirely, but you are never to blame.
She's scared her nostalgia is lying, and all her memories too,
Because when in love everything is too good to be true.
She has belonged to you in a way you've never belonged to her...
But that was alright, if you were happy she didn't need her war.
