Let me talk.
Oh, god, let me talk.

Let me tell you before you leave me, let me tell you why and how
You managed to lose me for the first time just now
Let me hold you while you want to push me away
Because i love you, but not how you want to, not in that way

Let me tell you what you did wrong in order to make those right
And do it better for the one who'll spend with you the night
Let me be here for you, let me dry your tears
Because better than any other I know your deepest fears

Let me tell you that I don't actually want to leave, I want to stay in this moment forever
I want to be with you, trust me, but I don't want to be together
Let me not be the one you like the most
Because, in my eyes, I still am the worst.

Let me tell you that I'm selfish for wanting to keep your affection
When I know your heart should move in another direction
Let me hold on for a little while longer
Because you grew on me, made me feel stronger.

Let me tell you that I'm too scared to watch you flee,
You became after all this time a big part of me.
Let me hold your hand, not for long, just once more
Because I know that when you'll be gone my fingers will be very sore.
