"hey" eli greeted his girlfriend after putting his karate bag down "hey, how was practice?" tessa asked after pausing her show
"very tiring" eli chuckled as he cuddled next to tessa "me and the rest of eagle fang need to spend the day training with mr larusso while miyagi-do's get to do badass shit" eli said "training with larusso can't be all bad" tessa turned to look at eli "you would be surprised" eli said
"how about you?" he asked, admiring her features "pretty pointless" tessa laughed "kreese was in his office all day and robby trained us" she said "sounds terrible" eli laughed "oh, definitely" tessa joined in on the laugh
"why do you watch this?" eli asked as 'Good Girls' played on tessa's tv "i enjoy it" the girl shrugged
"three women robbing a store multiple times and getting involved with a gang 'cause they need money?" eli asked "they help me brainstorm when i need money" tessa joked

"mr keene, you have a visitor" kreese said "you know this kid?" tory asked, robby just shook his head before turning to the little boy who stood by kreese
"i-i-i'm kenny. my brother, shawn payne, said you could help me" the boy spoke "i didn't know shawn had a brother. is he out?" robby asked as he walked closer to the kid "no. that's why i'm here, these a-holes keep hassling me. one of them knows karate, so—" "this is a dojo, you are interrupting my class" kreese interrupted the poor boy
"i'm sorry, i didn't know" the boy immediately apologized "sensei" robby called "shawn payne was one of the toughest guys in juvie, kicked my ass a few times" robby said, kreese just chuckled before turning back to kenny
"you know, in the real world, we have to fight our own battles" kreese said "cobra kai can teach you how, but you have to prove that you're worthy" kreese told kenny
"how do i do that?" kenny asked "take your shoes off and get on the mat" kreese answered
"all right, mr payne. let's see what you got" kreese said "mr park" kreese called, kyler stood up and walked to the middle of the mat
"but, h-how am i supposed to fight if i haven't had any training yet?" kenny asked, you could tell the poor boy was nervous
"to be a cobra kai, you have to have a killer instinct" kreese answered "fighting positions" kreese told the two boys "don't worry, man. i'll go easy on you" kyler smirked
"aits!" kreese yelled, kyler jumped towards kenny which caused him to back up in fear and kyler and some other cobras burst into laughter
this reminded tess a lot about eli and how he used to be bullied, especially by kyler
she snapped out of her thoughts when more laughter was heard
"i've seen enough" kreese said "yeah, me too" kyler said as everyone laughed besides tess and robby "what's so funny?" kreese asked "the all valleys just a few short months away, we don't have time for losers or cowards" kreese stared at kenny who just grabbed his things and walked out
"good work today. but i want better than good tomorrow" kreese said after practice finished "yes, sensei!" students yelled
"yo, want to stand in line with me? buy some new nikes?" kyler asked tess and tory "how many sneakers do you need?" tory asked "you would look good in dunks" kyler said as the trio walked out
"holy shit!" tess laughed after kenny punched kyler the next day at the dojo "kids fast" tory whispered to tess and robby
"what the hell? he hit me when i wasn't looking, that's some bullshit" kyler said "you're right, he didn't line up. so that won't count as a point" kreese said "oh, please" tess rolled her eyes
"sorry, i didn't know the rules" kenny apologized "that was your one chance" kreese said "okay" kenny said as he grabbed his things again
"where you going mr payne?" kreese asked "take your spot" kreese said, tess and robby smiled with kenny as he found somewhere to stand
