"No, it's okay." I smiled. Of course, it's okay. As long as you're there then I'm okay.

"I'll be there. Sa bahay niyo naman ang celebration, right? Madami ba ang imbitado?"

"Uhm, Lana's classmates, of course. Then our close friends and family." My smile widened. So I guess I'm part of the 'close friends and family' now? That's sweet.

I'm not actually busy during Sundays so I knew I can make it. But wait, does that mean I have to buy a gift for Elana?

"Do I have to give her a gift?" I asked.

"It depends on you. But Lana's not materialistic. She'll appreciate your presence."

"I'd rather buy her a gift. But the problem is I don't know what to give her. Hindi naman kami masyadong close."

"I can help you with that," She offered.

"Thanks, I'll need you when I buy a gift for your sister." Wrong, I need you always! Fuck!

"We can buy later. I have some time to spare."

"I thought your Finals are on next week?"

She shook her head, "Uhm, it's okay. Nakapag-aral na naman ako. Busy ka pa ba? Baka naman nakakaabala na ako."

"No, I just finished my last meeting for today. We can leave now, if you want."

"Teka, pano si Claire?" Napakunot ang noo niya.

"She can go home early."

"So, tara na?" I nodded. Tumayo na kami mula sa pagkakaupo. I loosened my tie before following Eleanor who was already out the door.

When I got outside, she was talking to Claire. Claire even gave her one of her donuts.

"Ang cute naman ng cravings mo, donuts." I heard Eleanor say as I walked towards them.

"Tara na?" Napatingin sakin ang dalawa at tumango naman si Eleanor. I saw Claire gave me a knowing look.

"Aalis kayo?" Claire asked. And I know that look. She's teasing me because Eleanor's here.

"Yup, we're buying Chance's gift for Lana eh." Eleanor was the one who answered.

"Ah, kaya naman pala. Una na kayo. Chance, ako na ang bahala dito. As for the two of you, enjoy your day with each other." Claire gave us a laugh as she gave emphasis to her words, 'with each other'. Napakunot lang ang noo ko.

"Bye, Claire." Paalam ni Eleanor before dragging me outside the building. As usual, her arm was clinging to mine. Of course, it was fine by me. Too fine even.
