Gabby POV:

I can't help but just walk into her room. As I close the door behind me, I feel the atmosphere in the room become really....depressing. I sit on the edge of her bed.

Gabby : you okay ??

She mumbled some stuff that I could not make out. I've never seen her like this before.

Gabby : Ceeee what's wrong. Talk to me (poking her back)

I finally noticed progress when she rolled over , now lying on her back instead of her stomach.

Ciera : the date.... (Sounding angry)

Gabby : was it really bad?? ( unsure)

I began to see the tears slowly forming in the corner of her eyes. Just as I was about to respond, Alia walked in.

Alia: oh.. What did I just walk into.

Gabby : shhh. Just sit down.

Alia. : awww sis. What's wrong ( taking a seat on her bed)

Ciera: He ---

Me and Alia listened closely and attentively giving her our full full attention. But I could tell she was struggling to get her feelings and words out.

Alia : he what ?

Ciera : he raped me (says lowly)

She burst into tears at the word "rape". Alia and I had shocked written all over our faces. My intuition was right, I knew she shouldn't have went on the date. But why do I feel as though this is so my fault.

Alia : I don't know what to do !!?? ( freaking out )

Gabby: what do you mean ? (Confused)

Alia began pacing around the room.

Alia : if we tell ms. Daily about the rape. She'll know that we've been hanging around the boys or at least sneaking around. She can make sense of stuff really fast. And I'm not trying to get me and the other girls on "probation". (Sounding irritated)

gabby : but we can't just sit here and do nothing about it. Lahai needs to be held accountable !

Ciera: can y'all at least tell Mel ?

Alia : how about we will go get her and you can Tell her. You can better explain the situation better than we can.

Gabby : Alia you can get her, I'll stay here with her.

Ciera moved to sit upright instead of laying down.

Gabby: where did he do it at?

Ciera : in the middle of the path going towards south campus.

Gabby: what's that ?

I looked down at her arms which she was covering. There were dark purple splotches of skin on there that weren't there before.

Ciera : oh. Those are some bruises that I got from his grip.

Gabby : we should ---

The door opens slowly and Alia enters with Mel following right behind.

Gabby : well I guess me and Alia will leave you guys alone to discuss things.

I get up from the bed and follow Alia out the door, closing it behind me.

Mel POV:

I said nothing as I took a seat next to Ciera on the edge of her bed. I looked at her for a moment I hoping that she would look at me instead of the ground.

Mel: cee?

She slowly lifted up her head and looked at me. Looking in her eyes, you could tell something had changed. Her usual spark want there.

Mel : talk to me ... (Sounding concerned)

She hesitated before speaking. Taking a deep breath as well.

Ciera : I ...got raped by a boy on the campus.

My jaw dropped hearing the terrible news. The fact that someone would harm one of MY girls filled my heart with anger and rage. There's only so much I can do to solve the problem but I'm going to do what I can to get to the bottom of this.

Gabby POV :

I sat down on the couch with Alia as we waited on Mel and Ciera. The suspense was killing us. Were all the girls going to get punished ? Would we have to stop interacting with the boys ? Alia and I sat there thinking about all the endless possibilities.

*30 minutes later *

Mel walks into the lounge, standing in front of both of us.

Mel: Ciera says she's fine....but we think its best she sees a doctor. I'm going to tell her. But she doesn't want ms daily to know. I was just going to tell her that her stomach is really upset and she needs to see a doctor.

Alia : what happens if something is really wrong with her ?

Mel : then we will have no other choice than to tell Ms. daily. (Sighing )

Gabby: can we go ??

Mel: I think it's best you guys stay here. Ciera and I should be back here by breakfast tomorrow morning at the latest ...

Gabby : ok. Come back as soon as possible.

*the next day*

We all got up and did our morning routines. But as we were getting ready we had noticed the vibe had changed. I know Ciera isn't here but I felt as though the vibe change was just more than that. We had one of the other counselors escort us to breakfast since Mel was with Ciera. It was one gloomy trip to breakfast.

As we entered the doing hall the usually were there but for some reason we just ignored everybody else that was there. I stood in the hot foods line in front o Sha'nhye who was trying to spark up a conversation to break the silence in at least some of us third years.

Sha'nhye : did you find our if she was okay?

Gabby: no....

I turned my head around to look at Sha'nhye but then noticed she was staring intently into the distance. The. I turned bak around to see what she was staring at. Then I saw him....

Sha'nhye : are you okay???

I started walking towards him , aggressively.

Sha'nhye : gabby !!! Stop !!

Sha'nhye was following closely behind me. Then I finally reached him. I clenched my fist as hard as I could and brought it to his face. Knocking him relentlessly to the ground. I felt nothing, not even regretting seeing Lahai knocked out cold on the ground.

Sha'nhye : Gabby! ( covering her mouth )

Everyone in the cafeteria directed their attention to me. Even Jacob who was standing a near 2 feet from me, surprised and astonished at what just happened. He stood there holding his plate looking back and forth between me and Lahai. The cafeteria was filled with silence and people who were confused.

GABBY!

I looked around. Trying to match the voice to a face.
